The life of luxury!

An idyllic setting in a beautiful wooded park!
Everything was good:
Spacious and very clean room (cleaning done every morning)
Comfort of the bedding
Small fridge very practical and air conditioning in the room (thankfully, as we arrived during a heatwave!)
Small pool and spa (hammam and sauna) with free and open access
Hearty breakfast
Serious and responsive staff to any problem
Free parking
Very close to La Rochelle and all its attractions as well as to Île de Ré
Beautiful place, beautiful hotel at a more than affordable price, we highly recommend it!

Flickering stars

The pros: - beautiful facade and well-laid-out parking lot.
- friendly welcome
- possibility of having dinner in the room.
- refrigerator and coffee maker.
- A/C in the rooms.
The cons: - worn hallways with stains.
- black marks on the bottom of the doors certainly due to the housekeeping cart....and not cleaned.
- dust in the corners of the room.
- view of the trash cans.
- no maintenance of the grounds.
- minimalist breakfast.
- limited front desk hours for a hotel.
- overall maintenance that leaves something to be desired and is unprofessional.

Very disappointed.

June 28, 104°F...
Air conditioning not working, pool supposed to be open from 10 AM to 7 PM. Closed. At 2:30 PM, it was impossible to reach the reception...
Small closet in the room cluttered...

The pool and sauna area closes too early to enjoy it on the evening of arrival. Then, early in the morning, someone started mowing the overgrown lawn with a loud riding mower right next to my first floor window. He could have started on the far part of the lawn to avoid disturbing guests until late morning / early afternoon.

Choose this hotel for the parking, breakfast was good, along with the staff, bedroom was clean, but due to staff problems the room was not cleaned on the first night.
