This boutique hotel is a gem. Great location. Rooms are spacious, comfortable, beautifully decorated and very clean. Eduardo is a great host. Very nice and helpful. We will come back for sure

Staying at Clos 1906 was the Highlight of Our Trip!
INCREDIBLE STAY! Where can I even begin to appropriately praise this B&B. Staying at a Bed and Breakfast when we travel is basically my love language, so I have stayed at many B&Bs around the world and this is by far one of my favorites and possibly the best one we have stayed in yet. Major wins: breathtaking views, AC (we were there in 100+ F degree heat wave), parking, delicious and satisfying breakfast, incredible and attentive host. This entire stay felt like luxury living with the intimacy of a personal home.
I was initially hesitant to not book our lodging directly in the heart of Saint Emilion. I can confirm the short 10 minute walk into town was a breeze and honestly part of a highlight of our trip. Walking and biking the countryside roads with sprawling vineyards on either side of us never got tiring. That said, if you find yourself to be a little less able-bodied, there was ample parking at the entrance to town making it a short 2 minute drive. We are a young couple and did not mind the walk even in the 95F degree heat.
We were staying near Saint Emilion while visiting wedding venues at Chateaus in the area. While the wedding venues themselves were breathtaking, it's possible Clos 1906 was even more romantic. For better or for worse, we spent more time swimming, lounging, and eating at our B&B than we did in town! We are usually the kind of couple who leaves the hotel room at 8am without returning until well after midnight and yet we found ourselves lingering in the mornings to enjoy a remarkable and filling breakfast in the shaded garden and then returning in the afternoons before dinner to swim and lounge by the pool.
The grab and go amenities around the kitchen area were great. We took advantage of the bottle of wine Eduard had left out and we were endlessly grateful for carafes of water always at the ready for our room or in the common areas.
The rooms for the guests are abundantly spacious, especially compared to our European lodging. The AC worked wonderfully and was such a reprieve from the heat wave, and the bed was very comfortable. Very spacious bathroom as well with more than enough room for 2 people to get ready at the same time. I find this to be a rare thing in European accommodations so I definitely wanted to point this our for any women needing more space for their toiletries, makeup, hair tools, etc. :)
Eduard the owner helped to coordinate in room massages upon our arrival. It was the perfect way to reset after the overnight flight from NYC and we found the rates to be very reasonable. Even when we arrived significantly earlier than anticipated he contacted our massage therapists so they could provide services earlier as well.
Eduard emails you a list of recommendations for the area and we found that extremely helpful as well. All of the blogs I read landed me at the same places as what he recommended in his email. I should have just followed his list and saved myself the headache of doing so much research.
Parking on property was also super convenient and an added bonus. Not everywhere we stayed provided parking so this was a huge plus. Driving from winery to winery or to the wedding venues, a car was a must! Easy and safe parking gave us a lot of peace of mind.
Lastly, as an English speaker, Eduard was an incredible communicator so we felt well taken care of even when we could not adequately speak the primary language of the region.
I am sure there is so much more I can say about this stay, but if you are debating on the slightly more affordable airbnb in town or Clos 1906, I can promise you Clos 1906 is the PERFECT choice!

Wonderful St Emillion.
Amazing place and hosts. Loved every minute we were there. Weather was exceptionally hot and the swimming pool was a delightful bonus. Rooms are gorgeous , clean, well stocked with essentials, cleaned daily , peaceful and have stunning views . The train station is a 5 minute walk and the town is 10 minute glorious walk past vines and chateaux.
Edward and his team were amazing hosts and could not do enough for us.

The perfect French wine country experience
We truly loved our stay here and cannot wait to return. This location is perfect and better than staying in Bordeaux if you want true wine country. It's an easy and beautiful walk to the town of Saint-Émilion and the train station. Every detail was 100% perfect. They were responsive and helpful with arrival details before our stay. Eduard and David greeted us personally upon arrival. The manor is absolutely gorgeous. We stayed in the Saint-Émilion room, which was impeccable in design and cleanliness. We had everything we needed and more. We will dream about the delicious breakfasts in the garden and the sunsets and evenings on the beautifully designed terrace and pool area. The staff were so gracious, kind, professional, and warm. If you're considering staying here, do not hesitate. We were so sad to leave and Clos 1906 will be the "happy place" we imagine in our minds until we are lucky enough to return.

Will definitely return. Beautiful property set in a lovely area. Just 15 minute walk to St Emilion village centre. Highly recommended!
