Your only address in Cyprus

Hello, we booked Kyrenia Palace Boutique Hotel through booking.com. We wanted a place close to the port, and Google guided us to the right place. We stayed in 2 rooms for 4 people.
We checked in on Saturday, April 11th and left on Monday, April 13th. The hotel is a few minutes' walk from Kyrenia Castle and the harbor. Shopping areas are also within walking distance. The hotel is right in the center. Its location, service, comfort, and friendly staff impressed us. It's a stone-built, boutique hotel. Upon entering, you are greeted by antique furnishings. It has a peaceful architectural style. This was my 8th visit to Kyrenia. I had always stayed in large hotels. After seeing this place, I don't need to look anywhere else. I've found my address in Cyprus.
My friend and I stayed in the Daisy room. The rooms were quite spacious and beautifully decorated. I'm a bit of a cleanliness fanatic, and I especially loved the bathroom. Our room overlooked a private garden. There was a table and two chairs. There was water in the mini-fridge; you can ask for more from reception when it runs out.
There was no hairdryer in the room. They provided one immediately when we asked. The towels, sheets, and pillows were spotless. I read a few reviews before writing this one, and sometimes I can't believe it. Some people got sick from the dampness in the rooms. I mentioned we stayed in two rooms. The other room was called Lavender.
My sisters stayed there. The room even had an air conditioner to regulate the humidity. A hotel that even thought of something like that.
On Sunday morning, as I was going to breakfast, the housekeeping staff were cleaning another room. I asked if they were going to come into our room as well. They said yes. I said, "You don't need to come in, could we just change the towels?" They immediately took the dirty ones and brought the clean ones.
Our room wasn't entered during the day because we didn't want it to be. Of course, rooms are cleaned and trash is taken out unless you specifically ask for it.
If housekeeping didn't enter the room, customers would leave even worse reviews. Having stayed for two full days, Kyrenia Palace doesn't deserve the negative reviews. Accurate information is necessary. Only the sound insulation system could be better. There was a family with children upstairs; they were shouting and running around at night. We heard everything very clearly. There were two ladies working in shifts at reception, Cemre and Esra. They were very friendly and pleasant to talk to. On Monday morning, at 7:00 AM, the transfer was supposed to pick us up from the hotel. On Sunday, I asked Ms. Esra, "We'll be leaving early Monday morning, could you prepare sandwiches for us to take with us for breakfast?" She immediately said "of course." Our sandwiches were ready on Sunday evening, and we picked them up on our way out in the morning. Thank you so much. I thank your entire team for giving us two wonderful days. Until we meet again, goodbye.

A charming old building which is now somewhat the worse for wear

This is a charming older building. The lobby was decked out for Christmas and was very welcoming. The rooms were large. There is a buffet breakfast, which was very nice and offered a reasonable variety of options.
The mattress pad was old and covered with pilling, which made for a rough sleeping experience. The curtains were not wide enough to cover the windows. Velcro strips were attached to the curtain holdbacks. However, you could only attach one edge or the other, not both at the same time. The wallpaper was peeling. One of the two rooms we rented had ants in the sink. The front entrance was blocked by old furniture and trucks. Parking is not convenient. There is a charge for parking. You have to carry your luggage down three flights of ancient crumbling stone steps and then a rough cobblestone street. We had a very difficult time locating the hotel using Google Maps and only stumbled upon the parking lot by accident, as no location was given in the property description.

Couldn't be more satisfied

We've been greeted warmly by the receptionist and the front desk staff and the service exceptional. The best boutique hotel that i can visit in Kyrenia!! Especially the bar staff has been so helpful and has done the tastiest espresso martini's i've ever tasted in my life. No kidding!! I definelitely highly recommend it.

Nice boutique hotel in historical building

It’s always interesting staying in old renovated buildings in historical cities. The location was great, right in the heart of the old town, just next to the fort. Lots of eateries and shops within a few minutes walk. On the downside, traffic is a nightmare and actually driving to the place was quite a mission. We ended up just parking about 200m away in the free parking area behind the fort and walking to the hotel. The room was old but clean and comfortable with a view out over the old city. Unfortunately, we were literally right next to the minaret of a mosque, so we were awakened early every morning by the call the prayer. The onsite garden café was a nice place to relax with a drink. Breakfast was good and filling. Overall, a decent place to stay and recommended to other travelers.

Beautiful summer

When I arrived I thought I was in a furniture shop and then they told me it is Palace Hotels very small they have 16 bedrooms every single room set up with different nationalities' furniture and amazing It was amazing especially the staff so helpful and professional always smiling and every single day they are there for you please don't miss the breakfast it is delicious the owners Caner and Görkem, are always there for you they have a few bars around please try it for the first time I have noticed they have a saxophone with a DJ and everyone enjoyed
