Nice Guesthouse / Family Stay in Tissamaharama!

Our hosts and his family are very welcoming, nice, helpful and accommodating.
The good and easy communication in advance via WhatsApp was also pleasant.
On arrival for a welcome you brought us a fresh coconut/water for refreshment.
The guesthouse is located a bit away from the center in a very quiet residential area, which is extremely pleasant. The lake is only a few minutes away.
The room is large, very clean (spotless) & well equipped, the A/C works great!
The bathroom has hot/hot water, it is also very clean, — without any blemish!
In front of the room and in front of the house are nice seating, sofa, table, chairs ...
The family has provided us on request a kettle and also dishes, also a hairdryer was in the room.
The Internet is fast and powerful.
We could park the rental car on the property without any problems.
From the host to the center it is only a few minutes by car.
The host invited us on a nice evening safari with one of his safari jeeps/drivers around the local lakes for bird watching, beautiful sunset and bat departure (tens of thousands) into the night sky.
The hosts prepared us a rich breakfast in the morning (sandwiches, omelette, large fruit plate, delicious coconut pancakes, tea, coffee, water, juice).
We would definitely stay there again and can only recommend it.

Wildlife on the doorstep

We had a very nice stay and the host was very helpful with everything, including private bird safari and arranging the jeep safari at Yala national park. Our host know alot about the wildlife in Sri Lanka and especially the birds in Tissa. We would absolutely recommend this place if you are interested in birds and wildlife or if you are planning a Yala safari tour.

Nice room

Was really nice and clean room, the owner Pre was hosting us in his house like friends of the family, the room was clean, hot shower and we went early to the safari, it was comfortable! It was include local breakfast, tasted some dishes that are special to Sri Lanka.

Best. Hosts. Ever!

If you stay at a guesthouse and casually ask where you can buy a razor in town and the owner hops on his bike to buy you one, you know why this place gets the perfect score here. Oh, and did I mention the BEST food I had in Sri Lanka?

Super Friendly host

Our amazing host(priyankara),made us feel really welcome & great to text to. Checked with us what we needed to eat as he goes out to buy fresh foods to cook for us. made us breakfast and lunch take away for the safari.
Lovely place to stay in tissamaharama for visiting Yala National park safari.Blue birds tissa is the best place in tissamaharama,Thanks again..
