A Comfortable and Charming Stay

I only stayed two nights in Arusha, but this place was perfect for taking relaxing walks around the neighborhood and organizing my travels before and after my Kilimanjaro climb.
The room was built in a way that the windows didn’t fully close, so it felt a bit chilly at night in July—but not to the point of discomfort. More than anything, the cozy shared spaces and the lovely garden made up for it.
The restaurant had a wide variety of dishes, and it was a great spot both for relaxing with a drink and for getting some work done over a cup of coffee.
Above all, the staff were incredibly friendly and kind!
I asked for an airport transfer on my way out, and when I mentioned I hadn’t had a chance to try banana beer, the driver kindly took me to a local liquor shop so I could get some.
Highly recommended!

Kizumba House Hotel, Feb ‘24

The hotel is in a good location, easy walking distance to the clock tower area of Arusha, where you’ll find cafe’s and an ATM. We would have walked around more but were accosted by multiple guys trying to be our guide or sell us something, so we ended up returning to the hotel.
The room was very compact so not a lot of space but the bed was comfortable. We were not expecting air-con but it would have been good to have a fan of some kind to get some movement of air. It was reasonably fresh overnight, 18c, so was not a major issue.
The shower worked ok, with hot water if you wanted after waiting a few minutes, but the shower head bracket was broken, which should be an easy fix for the maintenance guys. We didn’t mention it to the management as it didn’t bother us that much.
During the night you’ll get a regular clang of leaf or branch or fruit falling on the tin roof, but again, not an issue for us.
Breakfast is interesting. There’s coffee & tea using local brands, and Inocente or Gloria will produce an omelette and toast for each guest. One morning this included spaghetti which was rather odd to experience

Little paradise in the middle of Arusha

When you get there, you feel like you're in a little paradise. Great plants and pretty flowers. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very cozy and clean. The beds are very comfortable. The restaurant is really cozy and stylishly decorated. The food and drinks are delicious. The location is very central. Unfortunately we couldn't have breakfast because we left very early. The price/performance ratio is really good here!

Cold dorm but good value

central location, sitting in a green garden, friendly staff and clean room. good value for a budget price.
the dorm has no proper windows only a mosquito net, so it was very cold. WiFi was not working, only one plug for the whole dorm behind a bed. the bathroom has a Glas window in the door, looking right into the dorm and the handle was broken.
also I booked a hiking tour with them. I can not recommend it. I didn’t get any briefing or an itinerary. It felt like the man at the office didn’t really know himself. also no safety measurements such at least asking for an emergency contact.
the crew for the hike itself was very nice

Welcoming and friendly staff is always nice

Our stay at Kizumba House was great! The room was super comfy and the staff were all so friendly and welcoming - they always had a smile on their faces. The restaurant was absolutely beautiful, and the food was even better! I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in town near the airport and Safari parks as well."
