Lovely week!
We just returned from a very enjoyable week at this hotel (18-25th July). It was our daughter's first holiday abroad and she's been in tears as she's missing it! The hotel is in a great location, just across the road from the marina which has a variety of shops and restaurants and a lovely atmosphere in the evenings, and it's also only a short walk to the beach and Aquarock water park. Our room was very clean and had ample storage. We really enjoyed the food, there is a good variety on offer and themed nights such as Mexican and Asian (loved the sushi bar on Friday!), and our plates were cleared very quickly by the lovely staff. Our daughter loved the pools, especially the octopus slides! What really makes this hotel in our opinion though is the staff. We received a very warm welcome at reception on our arrival and continued to be impressed by the friendly, polite and very hardworking staff in all areas of the hotel. Special mention has to go to the Sensicrew, a 5* entertainment team and credit to the hotel! Alexia, Laura, Borja, Johanna, Daniel and Andrei are superstars, they work very hard but are always smiling, always dancing and always up for a chat. Their energy and enthusiasm is infectious! They clearly enjoy their job and want the guests to have the best experience.
We do agree with some points raised in other reviews, such as the air conditioning not being very effective in parts of the hotel, queues in the restaurant at times and cups, plates and rubbish being left around the pool areas. Yes it would be good to have someone clearing this more often, but ultimately it's down to the laziness of certain guests who think it's beyond them to walk a few yards to one of the many bins provided!
All in all it was a fab week and we hope to return!

Disappointing
We had a disappointing experience for a 4* hotel and the price paid.
The location is good. Very handy for shops, a pharmacy and local restaurants and a bus stop to the old town.
The hotel is geared for families with children 0-5. There are children's activities through the day, but suited to very young children. A mini disco in the pool for example playing Baby Shark.
Access to drinks is difficult to the point where we didn’t bother queuing and stocked our fridge with soft drinks from the supermarket. It was disappointing that there were no soft drinks refills stations to serve yourself as is common in other AI resorts. The cocktails are average and limited. If you want certain drinks, you have to pay more. The wine is very poor. We bought a couple of bottles from the shop to keep in the fridge in the room.
The food in the restaurant is average and repetitive. We pretty much ate the same thing every day. There were two themed nights - Chinese and Mexican - which added a bit of variety. However we ended up paying to eat out for almost half the holiday. Lunch was a repeat of the dinner. Breakfast was probably the better meal of the day.
The ‘snack bar’ is very limited. It offers a few hot dogs, chicken nuggets and chips, or mini pastries. Very bland. No access to salads or fruits.
Evening entertainment was ok. A quiz, a tribute act, a Spanish dance act. The Disney show was good. The layout is odd however - seats lined up in rows. Limited space to sit as a family. They would benefit from an outside bar area or terrace with music away from the central area to give families some variety.
Cleanliness and maintenance was an issue. The children’s splash pool was closed for a day due to tiles falling away. There were tiles falling away from the other pools too which could be felt under foot. Our family also developed ear infections whilst we were there. Other families also reported this. I passed this on to staff to make them aware that there appeared to be a couple of cases, but I was told that children get infections anywhere. Our children have never had ear infections on holiday previously. Thankfully travel insurance and the doctors across the road gave them the antibiotics needed. This meant that they couldn’t use the pool and, given the lack of activities or formal kids club, they were very bored.
We would not recommend this hotel to families with children over 5. It didn’t really feel like a holiday. And at over 5.5k, the experience did not match the price.

Definitely not 4*
Stayed here as a family of 5. Room clean but no help with luggage on arrival or fresh water in fridges.
Snack bar very limited and have to ask for cokes and soft drinks. They need a help yourself drink station. Queuing is a pain for drinks and for the restaurant. It’s definitely not big enough the restaurant for the amount of guests
Food was okay. Children’s very sang pasta and pizza. My kids would have preferred something different.
Worst part my children got ear infections and upset stomachs which I put down to the pool areas. They needed antibiotics.
Entertainers were good in the day but evening was pretty boring.

My personal, honest opinion
I never book a holiday without coming to read the reviews first so felt I should write one after returning yesterday. I went with my partner and two children (7 and 1).
To start with the positive - the children's pools are brilliant, my daughter was never out of the children's pool with the slides. My toddler also loved the splash pool. For a holiday centred around entertaining the kids during the day it is perfect.
Plenty of choice for food for adults, standard Spanish all inclusive I would say. Always 'something' and chips for the kids, as well as pasta and sauces/breads etc. We did go out for a meal a couple of times to break it up as the food does get quite repetitive, especially for the children. There was only really one child's option per night and if they don't like fish shapes for example, they would be quite limited to pasta and sauce.
So the pool with the slides had a bar, but this was only for drinks. If you wanted snacks you had to walk down to the other pool where they offered chicken burgers, ham and cheese toasted sandwiches, chips, cakes etc but these were all pre made and in a heating unit type thing to help yourself. This put me off a little as I wasn't ever sure how long they'd been in there. There was no option to sit at the pool bar and order lunch from a menu and it made fresh to order.
Now for the honest part as to why we agreed we wouldn't return.. I will say though, we have done a lot of all inclusive holidays and hotels therefore we have a lot to compare it to which is why I've rated it middle of the road..
The air con was quite poor, never had that 'cold' feel that you want after a boiling hot day in the sun. It was just okay, although we did speak to other families who said there was awful and had to request fans for the rooms but ours wasn't that bad.
ANTS - our room was covered in them, the cleaners came and mopped every other day and we thought they'd gone but they'd be back soon after. I left my beach bag on the floor one night and in the morning it was full of ants. I've unpacked my case and discovered a large family of ants that have come home with us. Not sure if this was just our room with the problem though I couldn't comment on that but it was a big problem. We bought some biscuits from the shop one night and despite wrapping them up, the ants got in and they were COVERED.
Location - there is a marina opposite which is perfect if you want to go out for a meal, however there aren't many little shops to have a wander round like we have experienced in other resorts. Once you've walked round the marina full of restaurants, there's nothing else in the walkable area. Bars without eating are very limited as well. Like I say, this is in comparison to other places we've been to.
So this one I've struggled to find the words to describe what I mean with this, but if you have been to other places and resorts you might understand what I'm getting at.. and it's the 'atmosphere'.. it felt a little bit like a UK holiday park (haven/park dean type) but abroad, you didn't get that sense of being abroad. The little things that remind you of being on holiday just wasn't there. I think in comparison to Majorca, Menorca just isn't built up the same outside of the hotel.
Another thing was that the chairs for the night time entertainment are all just lined up in rows in front of the indoor stage like a cinema type of set up, I missed having our own table outside and the atmosphere of that on a night. When the show finished, lights came on and everyone left, it felt a little bit like 'this is bed time'. Also no waiter service which I know you don't always get, but the getting up and queuing for drinks every time, you ended up feeling like you couldn't be bothered to stand in the queue.
Meal times - like all other reviews, you stood in a queue to wait for a table at peak times, that wasn't too bad, it did go down quickly and at worst, we queued for ten minutes, not horrendous but would have been nice to walk in and choose our own table but it was just too busy for that.
Pool towels - all beds have a ticket on saying you can't reserve, this wasn't enforced. Just like other hotels, if you want a certain spot, you'll need to set your alarm for it. By 9.30 you'll need to go and look for random ones that are available, I did see them but an odd 2 dotted around in the afternoon etc..
I would say if your children are entertained by slides and pool all day and you're happy to stay in the hotel for your holiday then it's good for that. However, if you've been to an all inclusive before in places like Majorca, Tenerife etc and like a wander on a night time round the shops for a change of scenery, you could be disappointed.
We paid 4.5K for 10 days and for us, we just didn't think it was worth that sadly. If you can afford to go to alternative resorts in Spain I would.
All that aside, my children had the time of their lives and even though we wouldn't choose to return, my daughter would have stayed forever!

Great resort.
The hotel is located across the road from shops, pharmacy and the marina with restaurants and bars. The beach is a 10 min walk and the splash park 5 mins.
The hotel has a nice safe family atmosphere and all the staff are very friendly and helpful.
The rooms have a nice spacious feel and are clean and comfortable.
The resort has a good balance of both daytime and evening entertainment for the young ones and for 13 year olds and older. The entertainment team, especially Borja and Andrej, were very enthusiastic and done their upmost to keep everyone happy.
An all round good resort to stay at. Throughly recommended.
