Lovely beachfront resort with attached pool. Very peaceful. Breakfast every morning was amazing, great variety and tasty.

Pricy Paradise
I highly enjoyed my stay at White Whale villa, the staff are very friendly and attentive, the views are gorgeous and it comes with breakfast included (at least through booking.com). If you walk along the beach you can easily come across many nice beach bars and restaurants, multiple 7/11s in walking distance. I stayed in Villa 1 so I only had neighbors on one side which was nice. I arrived sick (from bangkok not koh samui) and had to go to the hospital my first day and the workers were so nice and helped me arrange that. The pool gets cleaned everyday early in the morning and again midday. It has a button to turn on the jets which feels like a nice massage. The water in the pool was pretty hot though, so not refreshing during the day, but nice to slip into during the coolness of night.
The bed was super comfy with tons of fluffy pillows. The beach being right there is *chefs kiss*, being able to watch the sunrise and sunset and those mountains in the distance is just picturesque. They also feed the beach doggies at night which is so kind. They’re friendly btw so no need to be scared.
The reason I’m only giving 3 stars is because there were a few things that I think shouldn’t have happened from a hotel charging as much as they do. For instance my shower wouldn’t stay hot. It kept cycling through like one minute hot followed by 30 seconds of cold and repeat. Very uncomfortable when I just want a nice hot shower. I even went to the desk to see if they could do something about it and they said they’d check it while I went to my excursion but when I got back it was still doing the same thing. For $300 a night, I should be able to take a hot shower.
The breakfasts were yummy and freshly prepared by the nice ladies at the restaurant. The banana caramel waffle was my favorite breakfast and I just kept getting that one mostly, very delicious. I did have a couple of things served cold that are meant to be hot like the beans in the English breakfast and the poached egg on the avocado toast. So obviously they are using pre-cooked poached eggs and forgot to heat it up but i figured maybe they don’t know how it’s supposed to be since it’s foreign food to them.
Unfortunately a pair of my earrings went missing during my stay here. Every night i was taking them off and putting them on the ledge above the bed. One day I decided to wear a different pair and when I got back they had done room service on my room and I couldn’t find the earrings that should have been on the bed ledge. They were a cheap $20 pair from Amazon so I’m not too upset but still, you should be able to trust the employees when you leave the room. I’m totally open to the possibility that somehow I goofed and they didn’t take them, but yeah I can’t see how. If I end up finding them later on, I’ll update my review and take it back.
There’s also the pool, like I said the water is hot from the sun during the day so it’s not refreshing when the sun is out and you just want to dip into some cool water. It also has no filter so it requires manual debris removal from their employee. They do this twice a day I believe but one night I wanted to dip in at night and it was all full of leaves. I don’t mind doing a little labor so I walked over to where they keep the net (right by the restaurant) and did it myself lol some ppl might not like having to do that or call for the worker to do it, but it was fine to me. Makes me feel like this is really my villa. The patio furniture was not very waterproof so it was soggy after rain and one of the benches was actually moldy. I think they should invest in some better quality, more water resistant patio furniture.
Overall it was solid accommodations, I slept well and was treated well. I just think it’s a bit overpriced for the issues I had. I did book kinda last minute though so that’s on me. If you can snag this place for $200 a night or less, maybe by booking way in advance I’d say it’s worth that.

A little paradise far from everything
Located right on the sandy beach, the White Whale pool villas offer total privacy, neat elegance and style – just as promised in the pictures. The staff is friendly and attentive throughout, the breakfast delicious and varied. The lady is particularly noteworthy at breakfast: she immediately remembers what you like to eat or dislike and pays attention to it the next day – these are the very small details that raise the Service to a real 5-star level.
This was already our Third party stay at the White Whale and we can recommend the place without restriction. It is perfect for those seeking peace and quiet, but if you are looking for nightlife or a central location, be aware that the White Whale is deliberately away from the hustle and bustle.
A little note: In some rooms there are still bathtubs, which are now discolored. These seem unusual and could be better replaced by more storage areas. In addition, we were here two years ago and find it important that the hotel is regularly renovated and maintained to maintain the high standard.
Overall: A fantastic retreat on Koh Samui – we will come back anytime!

Perfect getaway
We stayed here last Sept for 7nights. And it was the best decision we ever made choosing this beach front villa. They only have 11 villas which is why we loved it, we prefer to stay in the villas that we can relax and get away from the crowded side because of our job. Breakfast is excellent, we never get tired eating and choosing from their menu and adding dessert after our meal. The staffs are amazing and treat us well like a family, greeting us and accommodating us. I remember most of them. Kudos to P’Took she’s like my mom in the villa, always checking on me. We have the Chef which is excellent and the Barista. P’Cake, P’Avee, P’Fah, they’re the one in the front office and always ready to assist us. Our housekeeper are the best, always making sure our mini bar, coffee and snacks are always refilled and clean our room on daily basis. P’Moe the gardener, he always make sure our pool is clean and the beach front in the villas are always well maintained. The best thing is they gave us some souvenirs before we left, and I loved it. I carry it all the time with me. ❤️ A must recommended, book the floating breakfast, it is an amazing experience and it is my favorite activity
