Good value comfortable b&b

The b&b is run by a cooperative. The members we met were very friendly and helpful with good English. The rooms are simple but comfortable, clean and well equipped. The help yourself breakfast is generous and good quality. The centre of town is a pleasant 10 minutes walk away.

Pleasant cosy place

We booked a night here with no expectations and we're surprised for the great friendly hospitality, good clean room, you make your own breakfast with products provided. We had free parking at the front and were leant 2 bicycles and given a map and explanation.
And off we went spent the morning cycling around this beautiful town , took in a museum.
Very happy we decided to stop in Karlstad !!

comfortable stopover

Nothing special but room was quiet, clean and comfortable, despite being located between two major roads. Free wifi worked well. Nice toilet room in our room. No room-darkening shades. Good lighting. Mediocre breakfast choices with cereals, a few meats, two cheeses, packaged bread, and no black tea (only flavored teas). Employees were hard to find. It is a good place for a one-night stop-over between Stockholm and Oslo.

Just a normal place to stay

Stayed there for SEK 900 a night (a room for 4 persons, as seen in the photo provided by the B&B itself) when we passed by Karlstad. Two single beds, and one double decker, on the second floor. No elevator.
The place was generally very clean. However, the bed sheets were not. Our skin felt itchy the next day. Also, there is no private bathroom - so we had to share it with the whole of the second floor. The showering facilities were decent - hot water, clean space. It was just a tad more troublesome having to move things in and out of the bathroom so frequently.
Although the description said by the lakeside - note that you don't see any water from the room. None. You just see trees and blue skies. Though if you walked out further, you'd be able to see the lake then.
Their wifi wasn't working - although they themselves had internet access. Just that us as customers didn't. Not much help they gave there. And we really needed wifi too. Or else how to find our way around the place? Ugh.
Breakfast was measly - eggs (and you had to find a way to cook it yourselves - the only option was to boil; I made soft-boiled eggs), milk, toast with butter or jam. Coffee, and tea bags. That's about it. Don't expect too much.
Great thing about this place is, if you're desperate - it has everything you need at a decent price. Student discount can make your stay just SEK 100 per night - though I heard you have to book in advance or something. We wouldn't really recommend this for families. But if you're backpacking, this is the perfect place.
However, you probably can't really get here other than by car or bike. The place is right beside E18 (an expressway). Didn't see any form of public transport around.

Tutto seff-service

Uno de più vecchi b&b della Svezia posizionato all'ingresso della città raggiungibile in 5 minuti di camminata lungo il fiume. Stanze ampie, dotate del giusto arredamento e bagni senza doccia. Ad ogni piano vi è la doccia comune che potete utilizzare in tutta privacy.la colazione è di tipo self-service, quindi se necessario vi preparate il caffe oppure aprite il frigo per prendere il latte o altro. Parcheggio ampio ed interno alla struttura, vi è possibilità di prendere biciclette. Nel complesso ottimo prezzo per la Svezia, buona location, camere "giuste", pulizia non il top... ma per una notte è ok.
