Comfortable and reasonable

Very clean and pleasant. Italian restaurant downstairs makes great pizza. I had a window facing north, but I could see the mountains above.Oeschinesee. Fairly quiet. Great shower (private bath) after hiking

Horrible.

From a to z everything is catastrophic.
I would definitely not recommend.
First and last time.

Very fine food

We stopped off on our way through and had a great meal. The salad was fresh with a delicious homemade dressing. You can put together the pizza yourself or have it topped. Very tasty pizza. Cozy restaurant with friendly hosts!

Charming location and welcoming inn

Cozy inn with wooden interiors, well heated and in a super excellent location (close enough to the station, supermarket, bakery, cable car, bus). Friendly staff. Time in Kandersteg seems to have stopped and life flows pleasantly slowly like the stream that runs through it. Very spacious room compared to normal standards, warm and clean, with a small balcony. Rather small but functional bathroom with small tub; nice hot water from the taps. If you need a hairdryer, ask at reception.
Things missing: there is no lift, the rooms can only be accessed by stairs. There is no TV and no wifi (but that's the beauty of the place, disconnected from the world!). There is no fridge in the room.
What to point out: good homemade breakfast, not very abundant and more savory products (there are no sweet cakes for example. They also do catering (they make pizzas and other dishes); pizzas not very cheap for us Italians in terms of prices.

Nice welcome

After a deplorable, borderline rude welcome at the Restaurant des Alpes where I had made a reservation for 13 people for dinner with arrival at 6:30 p.m.-7 p.m. (respected time)........we were dispatched straight away and went to the pizzeria Spycher where we were very well received at 13 and without reservation.
Thanks to them!
