Shouzhou Hotel Beijing is located in the North Square of Beijing West Railway Station, close to Chang'an Street and about 15 minutes drive from Tiananmen Square. The transportation is very convenient and the location is very advantageous. Shouzhou Hotel Beijing is a foreign-related hotel, integrating catering, guest rooms, conferences and spa health clubs. The hotel has more than 100 rooms of various types. There are more than 500 seats in the restaurant, including 17 luxury boxes and banquet halls. There is also a healthy and green spa health club, which is an ideal place to relax.

Dirty and smelly
Firstly, when you enter the room, there's an over-powering stench coming from the toilet. The only way to get rid of the smell is to keep the toilet lid closed and keep the bathroom fan on constantly. Unfortunately the power cuts off if you leave the room so after a day out, you come back to the stench again.
Secondly, the bathroom was filthy. There was mould on the walls, and when we complained, the receptionist told us that they couldn't clean it.
Thirdly, there is virtually no sound proofing between rooms and the corridor. The first night, I was woken up three times in the middle of the night by inconsiderate people shouting in the corridor. We could also hear very clearly the TV next door.
Lastly, for some unknown reason, sometimes there's a strong odour of cigarette smoke coming into the room via the air-con. So we had to resort to switching it off for large periods of time when the temperature outside was over 30 degrees.
We checked out 3 different rooms at this hotel, so I'd like to point out that the problems I listed is not confined to a single room. We could not stay here again and wouldn't recommend anyone else to do so either.
