Amazing
Such an amazing location.
The contactless check in was so smooth and easy. The cabin and view was beautiful, the homemade focaccia added a nice welcoming touch and tasted delicious. When leaving we had a big goodbye wave from the host. 10/10

Secluded Hideaway
We stayed 4 nights for our 17th wedding anniversary, was perfect quiet spot. Close enough for daytrips to Byfeild NP and far enough to think you are alone in the forest. Cabins are set apart that no one could see eachother, indoor spa was beautiful. Bed was very cumfy! which was a big a big worry with having a bad back. Kitchenette was great to cook up breaky n dinner for us. Would have liked abit of a better deal for staying 4 nights though. Hosts where friendly and helpful too.

Just stunning
We booked the bamboo house for 2 families and our jaws dropped from when we arrived , amazing hexagon shaped house with a skylight and sunken lounge room like a rainforest dream , super friendly owners and prehistoric rainforest to explore , the kids loved the fire pit we highly recommend you holiday here

Peaceful and Lovely
Went up to Byfield for a long weekend away and it, unfortunately, rained the whole time! That didn't stop us though, as a lot of the things you can do in the area you can still do even if its raining. We did the crocodile farm, the wildlife sanctuary, the pottery place, Stoney creek and Ferns for live music and dinner.
We stayed in the Lake View cabin and it was beautiful. I bought food for us to cook and all the utencils and equipment needed was there. Even though there is another cabin and the homestead nearby, you can't see it from your room and you really feel like you're secluded from everyone else.
The bed was SO COMFORTABLE. We went in summer so didnt use it, but there was also a small fire heater. We had BBQ's on the deck overlooking the lake and the huge ducks.
Recommend to everyone!!!

Wonderful, relaxing family vacation in the Bamboo Cabin
We stayed in the Bamboo cabin in December 2016. The large Bamboo cabin sleeps 12 people. We had 13, so one boy slept in his swag. The cabin was awesome, it was fully equipped with what we needed for meal times, it was air conditioned and very roomy, and there's so much to do at Getaways that we didn't even turn the TV on. All the kids aged 10 to 18 enjoyed it there. We had some great quality family time together, swimming in the pool, playing board games, and just sitting around and chatting, even sitting around the fire at night was relaxing. There was no traffic going past, it was peaceful and quiet. I'd have to say it was one of the best Christmas breaks I've had in a long time. The couple there were friendly and the cabins and grounds were immaculate. Would definitely return to Getaways at Byfield again.
