Stay, eat and drink

An establishment located at the entrance to the village of Derby, where you can stay for a small price, and which also offers food and drinks good beers.

I loved the Dorset Hotel, it had everything you could want, a great food and drink menu (I can highly recommend their whisky selection!) immaculate clean bedrooms, smoking hot water and friendly knowledgeable staff. I was immediately made to feel welcome, and, as a solo traveller, to feel like one of the gang. Being in Derby it’s in a perfect location to access all manner of interests and activities both on the doorstep and further afield. Would have loved to have extended my stay here were it not for having to move on up country.

An overnight trip to Derby so we could experience the floating sauna. The hotel is room only with shared bathrooms. Everything is spotless. Staff were very friendly. Dinner was great and the continental breakfast supplied is beyond usual expectations. They have a laundromat on site and a bike shed for those who ride.

Cute, cozy and friendly

A really comfortable and quaint place to stay. It has everything you need, especially if you’re mountain bike riding and want to be close to everything - and not pay a fortune.
Great vibe, warm fireplaces and friendly staff. Very happy memories here.

Awesome staff, great old pub

Awesome place to stay on a riding trip, secure lock up for bikes, bike wash, and laundry. Great selection of beers and the food from the kitchen is amazing. Just an awesome place to hang out after a big day on the trails. The rooms were clean and comfy and the bathrooms were spotless with great showers. All you need for a trip on the bikes.
