Clean, pleasant, reasonably-priced hotel

Hung Anh is a small hotel in Tan Binh District, a relatively quiet and safe part of central Ho Chi Minh City, not too far from the airport. The area has many coffee shops and food outlets, I would particularly recommend Diem Map across the road, which specialises in Vietnamese hotpot (Lau). The hotel is kept spotlessly clean by an efficient staff. The receptionist was extremely friendly and good, and went way beyond the call of duty for me. The rooms are large and airy with good air conditioning. I would have liked to see breakfast or other food on site, but there are many places to enjoy this locally.

I couldn’t sleep because pillows and stains on bed, smelled something I couldn’t stand.
Room is spacious but I felt uncomfortable because it’s not as clean as I expected. Bathroom is not very clean and has no place for toiletries, no bathroom tissues.
This is worst than the motel 6 in the US. If you don’t care much for the details, one night to crash is fine for the reasonable price.

Nice hotel, close to airport.

Inexpensive hotel with friendly staff. Aircondition and free and fast wifi. Close to good street food, cafes and shopping on a relatively quiet street. I would stay there again if I'm in Ho Chi Minh City.

Do Not Stay Here!!!!

15 mins from City..taxis will overcharge you!
Not safe neighbour hood, rough and dodgey and known for bag snatchers and pick pockets (so our taxi driver from the airport warned us and he also couldn't believe where we had booked and told us to book in the city)
It didn't seem like there was any other guests apart from us and a few families that look like they live here fulltime.
Hotel is noisy at night with kids still running around at 2.30am!!!!
Beds are rock hard and caused back problems next day for me and my partner
We wanted to check out after one night and were still charged for the three nights!
If you are westerners and are looking to see Ho Chi Minh City do not stay here stay in the city!!!
It's worth the few extras bucks!
