Brilliant hotel! Brilliant manager & staff!

Absolutely fantastic experience! Staff were so helpful and friendly. The room was beautiful and spacious with tea and coffee making facilities, toiletries and hairdryer etc. Very comfy bed and a great night's sleep.
I met with friends for the cocktail and platter afternoon. Again, great service and lovely cocktails and food.
I would most definitely return to this hotel.

Clean, friendly and ...

The rooms were lovely and quiet, nicely decorated and really clean. The building is quite old so some rooms have varying shapes and sizes, but I'd call that character rather that it being a criticism. The staff were LOVELY, and so friendly - nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was very good and really fresh. Parking was very easy indeed with space outside on both sides of the road and also there's a car park a few yards down the road.

Comfortable stay in Castle Douglas

Our family of four enjoyed our stay here. Staff were friendly and helpful, and rooms were clean and comfortable. Liked having the warm towel rails in the modern room toilet. The hotel was well located, close to supermarket, shops and restaurants/cafes.

Hogmanay Lunch

We booked well in advance (12th Oct) for a lovely Hogmanay Lunch but were sadly disappointed. Firstly we were given a set menu that was on for 28th and 29th which we didn't expect and the choices were quite poor. The food was average to be honest but the surroundings were absolutely freezing!! The 2 females were sitting with our coats around our legs which didn't help at all. After the disappointment I doubt very much if we would return
