Sleeping in a Cuboard

The room is ideal for a young single person or young couple who stay out clubbing all night as its just a box room with no window and standing space for 1 only the shower and toilet is small but usable, there is a bright green light on all night that i had to cover with my pants !! but for a couple reaching 60 yrs old it was a nightmare ruined our break that we was so looking forward too after working hard in our jobs , thank god for a Popeyes restraunt next door where you can sit down on a chair have a coffee and look out the window ! There is no lifts to the rooms neither so again better suited to the young and fit and able bodied , only compliment is it was fairly clean

Dear Collin,
Thank you for your review! We’re sorry to hear you didn’t find your stay to be good value for money. We are pleased you found our hotel to be clean. As a budget hotel, we offer compact rooms with minimal facilities that were designed to maximize the space as much as possible as a result our offer is directed to the specific type of travelers who are looking for affordable accommodation in the great location wanting to explore the city rather than staying in the hotel. We understand our concept may not be suitable for everybody and we are trying to be as transparent as possible regarding the hotel facilities and extra charges. Detailed information about the size of our rooms can be found online, where it can be checked prior to making a booking. We always encourage our guests to check all the information on a website before making a booking.
Kind Regards,
easyHotel Edinburgh Team

A clean place to get yourself relaxed but as for sleeping.. just hope you are not spending more than one night and that you dont have anything important the next day. The walls are paperthin, you can hear literally everything; from the street, the neighbors… Also the bathroom reminded more of one on cruise ships… Tho I think i have had bigger bathrooms on those. At least the stuff was very nice and helpful!

You are obviously booking basic accommodation but what lost this place marks was the uncomfortable & squeaky mattress/bed. The lack of coat hooks, which given the size of the room is important and doesn’t take up more space.
Great location though and it was non offensive

This is the worst place I've stayed in. I was charged a whopping £200+ for one night in this tiny little shoebox. You walk in the room and you have a shower/toilet pod next to you and a very small double bed in front of you, that's it. There isn't room to move or store baggage. No toiletries were provided. The smoke alarm light on the ceiling flashed all night. The walls were so thin you can hear other people talking and snoring. The bedsheets were faded and stained and the pillows were thin rubbish. The room key randomly stopped working and had to be replaced twice in the middle of the night by staff who spoke limited English. It was an absolute ripoff. Everything about it is designed to minimise cost, which might be fine if you're charging £30-£40 a night, but £200 is just disgusting.
