There’s a lot of deferred maintenance in the building. Pool and changing areas were dirty and had mold on the ceiling. Hoses were going through the changing room. We went to the pool and hot tub in the evening and it was really very crowded, my tip is to go when all of the families are at the zoo. I had the place to myself. Area is ok not a lot going on if you’re not going to the zoo. It was ok but I don’t think I would go back and stay just for the property

They confirmed everything in writing before we flew, and kept it all
Before we arrived they confirmed in writing that they'd hold our late arrival, store our luggage, and that breakfast was included for all three adults with no surcharge. That email saved us a lot of worrying from another country. On the day we left our backpacks and our daughter's stroller with them in the morning and went straight up to the castle carrying nothing.
The staff were genuinely friendly and answered everything we asked. There's a pool, a restaurant and café, parking, and the whole place is put together with care. The honest note: the rooms look a little dated. But everything in them works, the water is good, and every amenity you need is there — we'd be comfortable staying longer.
Five out of five from us.

We're delighted to hear that our team could help make your short stay as smooth and stress-free as possible, particularly with your late arrival, luggage storage and breakfast arrangements. We understand how important those details can be when travelling internationally, especially with a young child, so it's lovely to know that the advance communication gave you peace of mind.
It's also great to hear that you were able to make the most of your day exploring Edinburgh while we looked after your belongings. Your kind comments about our friendly staff, facilities and overall service are greatly appreciated and will be shared with the team.
Thank you as well for your honest feedback regarding the rooms. Whilst some areas may reflect an older style, we're pleased that you found everything comfortable, well maintained and equipped with everything you needed.
We truly appreciate your recommendation and your five-star rating. We hope to welcome you and your family back again whenever your travels bring you to Edinburgh.
Kind regards,
Marta
