This is a great place to stay, no matter what generation you are part of. The “pods” are just that - bunkbeds with privacy curtains, a private bathroom for just those in your room. The staff is AMAZING. There’s a common kitchen and a common area. Very, very safe!

Small hostel in old house with good facilities

This hostel is located on the busy County Road in a house dating back to 1865. From the outside, it appears closed because there are shutters on the ground floor. The entrance is situated on a side street, Neston Street. You receive a code to open the main entrance. A steep, narrow staircase leads to the rooms and the common area upstairs.
The hostel is very compact, and many people, including four volunteers, stay in a relatively small space. Amenities such as the showers and WiFi are good (everything worked properly). The accommodation (including the shared kitchen) is kept very clean. The dormitories offer comfortable beds and with attached bathroom. The windows are often left open because the rooms can get stuffy quickly, but this also means you are bothered more by the noise from the busy road.
For me, the location was the biggest drawback, as it is 5 km away from the city center. Regular buses (20 and 21) run for £2 one way. However, Anfield Stadium is nearby, so the location is excellent for soccer fans. There is an Aldi supermarket 500 meters away and there are many restaurants nearby. Crosby Beach with the Gormley statues is 8 km away.
Note that prices can be very high on weekends (more than double the price on weekdays).

I loved Liverpool POD!!!!!!!! That was my first time in a dormitory and was very well surprised with their good prices as well!! It's small but it's based in a area that is not noisy like the city centre, so 100% I'll be back there every time I need to come in UK!! Thanks to TIM the owner who was super kind!!

Generally a really good hostel with direct access to Anfield, so best fit for anyone coming for the matches. So many good food options just a couple minutes on foot. The place itself feels quite dated, however, so hope the owners can repaint some ceilings, walls and ensure proper pumbling. I enjoyed my stay and the kindness of the staff. Thank you.

Great communication from the team prior to my arrival. Nice clear instructions on how to get to the accommodation and access codes etc. Jamie greeted me and spent some time having a chat. Room was comfortable and warm, I was in a room for 6. Bed was comfortable and I slept well. Would definitely stay again when next in the city.
