Book somewhere else
At 11pm we discovered 100s of ants all over the floor and was moved to a new room. Although this room was no better as we had no soap, other than watered down fairy liquid, the shower head was dirty and the base of the shower had been broken and fixed with some sort of shower cork. The next morning we received a message at 11am that we had to move rooms as another group had booked the room we were moved to. By this time we were already out and wouldn't be back until late that night due to pre booked activities.
After difficult communication with someone over WhatsApp we were told we had to come back or our belongings would be moved by staff. We did not give permission for them to do this as we hadn't packed our bag since we were not informed when we were moved into the room the night before or earlier the next morning. After explaining multiple times we couldn't make it back to the hotel we were still told to move our belongings to a new room. They neither confirmed nor denied if they had moved us to the new room but we received a check in message with a new room number and code for the door. So we assumed our belongings had been moved without our permission.
As we returned to the hotel we went to the new room and entered the new code they gave us to find another family sleeping in there. We went back to the room we stayed in the previous night to find non of our belongings had been moved. This is a serious security risk as they had given us access to another guests room and we had accidentally entered while they were all sleeping in bed. As we were checking out the hallways were covers in flies. A one star review is very generous for this hotel.

Terrible hotel, book at your own petrol!
Our room was dingy, worn threadbare carpets. Bathroom unfit, toilet room small with not lock or door handle. Water stains on the ceiling with black mould. Dusty fan. Sash window stuck in an open position. As it was a basement room I didn't sleep as I was worried someone might break in. I told the manager to room was not suitable and he offered an upgrade at an extra £120 cost. We left after one night. This is not what you expect when you book a hotel.
