What a great find! The food was excellent and the owners were friendly and welcoming, I would highly recommend the steak and stilton pie and by all accounts the lamb shank is great. Rooms were well-appointed, clean and comfortable.

Had a meal here recently having not visited for several years. The food was absolutely outstanding and the service very friendly. Highly recommended.

Lovely accommodation booked at short notice to attend a local wedding. It was perfect and the everyone was so helpful even when we arrived far too early and needed to change! Super comfy bed!
Thanks. Highly recommend.

Deal with the lady who was very pleasant, not the guy who was quite abrupt and almost militant.
Initially when we entered our room it appeared clean, however there were cobwebs around light fittings. The bathroom sink was blocked caused by someone who must have shaved their head. When the sink filled with water lots of hair started coming back up the plughole into the sink. This was very unpleasant.
The shower was awful. The flow was really poor and trying to get the temperature right was extremely difficult to master. It was either scalding hot 1 minute and freezing the next.
The restaurant closed at 8pm, the actual pub closed at 9.30pm. We weren't aware of the pub closing time when we booked. I wouldn't choose to stay here again.
Room only for 1 night cost £116.

Fab food, great value, homemade, friendly service. Don’t miss this gem.

If you’re in the area you must visit here. Service is warm and friendly. We ate here 2 nights running, they remembered our drinks on the second night.
Food is all home made, full of flavour and big portions. The Roquefort and walnut salad was the nicest salad I have ever eaten. 3 of us for 2 nights loved everything we ate. Staff checked with us regularly to make sure we were happy - we were very happy! Just wish we could have stayed for Sunday lunch as it sounded wonderful. Food is excellent value too, absolutely not to be missed!
