Excellent Pub Restaurant Experience!

We visited last night (Saturday) with another couple. It was a while since we had been, and I was really satisfied with everything from start to finish. It was a pleasant summer evening and, as we walked from the car park and passed the outdoor bar, there was live music playing and a happy, party feel about it. The restaurant felt cosy and welcoming and we were shown to a nice table. Our drinks order was quickly taken and served and thereafter the service was efficient, professional and very friendly.
The menu offered a good choice and there were also some specials. For starter I chose the Handmade Spring Rolls with the filling of the day, which was delicious lamb. The dish was beautifully presented and very tasty. For main, I had the Steak Stroganoff which was generous and absolutely superb. Other mains included the Fish Pie (looked really good) and the Fish and Chips (squeals of delight from the ladies about the gorgeous crispy batter).
Only two of us could manage desserts and both of those were declared excellent.
All in all a really enjoyable evening of pleasant ambience, good service and delicious, well-presented food. We'll definitely be returning soon!

lovely pub

We stayed one night.
The pub is in a beautiful setting. Staff very friendly and welcoming. We had a meal at night which was lovely.
Our room was on the small side, not 100% sure the bed was a double but it was very comfortable.
Bathroom was large, lovely hot water from the shower the only problem seemed that once you had used shower gel the floor was a little slippery.
Amazing breakfast - all fresh produce

Thank you for your review Debbie! We're very glad to hear your feedback regarding the pub and your meal. For the bedrooms, they are double beds. The shower mat should have helped to ensure the floor was dry and not slippery for you after the shower. Thanks for your visit!
