Three days in Emilia
Three fantastic days in Bologna thanks also to the stay at the Al Navile farmhouse. Friendly and helpful manager, excellent breakfast and thorough cleaning. Welcoming common area, also thanks to the fireplace. Spacious and modern rooms. Structure surrounded by nature. To try!

Best bunnies, bad bed.
I chose Agriturismo Al Navile for its convenient location to Bologna airport and simultaneously fairly close proximity to Bologna (I had a car). I also thought that being in the country could be a nice refreshment away from a noisy city like Bologna. While the convenience of the location turned out to be true, the tranquility and authenticity of the agriturismo were not. I stayed one night in March.
My impressions are below:
Positives:
There are a few things that are good about Agriturismo Al Navile:
1). The room is quite large and functional, free Wi-Fi that worked well, a mini-bar/fridge
2). The large bathroom has an excellent shower
3). Easy parking, not far from Bologna and its airport (35 minutes drive to the airport at 8 am in the morning). The proximity to the airport was the main reason for choosing this hotel for my morning flight from Bologna.
I was especially entertained by many bunnies at the property - they graze in the grass during the day, and at night they come quite close to seemingly look at people, while they don't take any food. The hotel is in the field, so the pictures look tranquil. However it is close to the noisy road, so it is not very peaceful. The good thing is - the windows are soundproofed. Overall, it is a fair place for its rate.
Negatives:
1). Frinedliness and service are null. It was the first hotel in many travels in Italy where I was not greeted with "buongiorno" or its equivalent by the male receptionist. The first phrase was - "credit card?". That was quite shocking as I had a reservation there. And this was the first weird thing about it. This poor service and attitude continued throughout my short stay - I had to ask for help with the bags, it was not offered by deafult although I was a solo female traveler.
2). Second was that it was not at all "agriturismo" implying that you get some fresh produce from the farm and get a sense of staying at a place connected to the agriculture - instead, it felt like a faceless Motel 6 in the countryside, with all the Motel 6 implied comforts.
3). I noticed after checking in and then returning from Bologna in the evening that I had not seen a single female on the property, except maybe for bunnies. The fact was confirmed next morning - there was not a woman in the staff which seemed to consist of two unfriendly males, nor among visible guests, who impress more as male drivers staying overnight. By itself it might not be a good or bad thing about this hotel, but if I knew that of the hotel clientele, I would not stay there.
4). Breakfast was extremely poor - it was the worst coffee I ever tasted in Italy, tepid coffee-flavored water. The food was simply calories from the cheapest supermarket - industrial bread, packaged jam, no eggs or fresh juice or anything appealing. I did not try anything.
5). The bed and pillows were thin and hard.
The place has no charm, individuality or welcome whatsoever, or rather it is somewhat spooky, and I won't stay there again even though it is so inexpensive and close to the airport. It was acceptable for one night, as I stayed. I left without ant regrets.
Yet it can be a good deal for those seeking basic comforts.

Posto incredibile, situato in una zona stupenda. I più sentiti complimenti al gentilissimo proprietario, ma una personale nota di merito va a Matteo, persona incredibile e disponibile.

Week end
Abbiamo passato una notte in questo agriturismo esperienza molto positiva sia come camera che come colazione ci ritorneremo sicuramente. Lo consigliamo.anche perché molto tranquillo sarà bello sicuramente anche in primavera e estate

Il 3 gli sta stretto e il 4 largo, ma i punti a favore sono molti. Intanto la struttura è sicuramente valida, immersa nel verde e decisamente tranquilla. Carine le camere (magari un televisore più grande e un frigobar più fornito sarebbero utili) ottima la colazione e molto buona anche l'accoglienza e la disponibilità, così come la qualità del wifi. Se poi ci fosse una piscina allora di andrebbe sicuramente a 4 stelle!
