Peaceful Laid Back Garden

Peaceful large walled garden with flowering trees and plants. Chirping birds begin about 1/2 hour before sunrise. Stayed in the teak wing which is thick adobe like concrete under shaded trees. Very cool. The bed was not too soft, not too firm. The sheets were of good quality. The towels were cotton, semi rough. Great place to rest up after a long flight. The restaurant had a great chef , the prepared dishes were flavorful. The staff were friendly and aimed to please. The pool looked inviting but I didn't go in. A kind of laid back 70s vibe. I would stay here again.

Located at the heart of the town. Restaurant in premises is adequate but a bit pricey. Staff are friendly and helpful.

You will love this property if you like music playing for most of the day. You will also like this property if you enjoy a lot of socialization. The beds are comfortable. The bathrooms in the private rooms are functional, and the staff is generally helpful. The avocado toast with poached egg was good the day I had it. If you enjoy very, very, very loud music on Friday and Saturday nights until 2 AM you will love this Hostel. When I was there, they also had a market on Saturday and Sunday that took up all of the space in their very lovely manicure line. There was no room to sit because of the market. Without the market, the grounds are absolutely beautiful.

Shoestrings has a laid back casual vibe. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The meals were well prepared and tasty. A walk with the lions was arranged by the hostel and went very smoothly. There was a football watch party and a sing along. Altogether a pleasant experince.

Highly recommend!

I highly recommend this lodge when you want to stay somewhere safe and accomodating in Victoria Falls. I spent five nights here and I had gotten to meet the nicest staff while I spent time there. Angie was such a big here to me; she communicated to me weeks before I arrived. She made sure that I got to see what I planned to. When the e-visa online for Botswana didn't come through on time, she checked with the borders to make sure that I could still apply there instead. All in all, I can't recommend this place enough!
