Huge Room and Toilet
The hotel is not difficult to find although it is a little bit of a trek from the Zhongxiao Xinsheng MRT station over uneven road surfaces. The recommendation is to take Exit 1 but over the time we stayed, we realised Exit 2 is better and nearer. In terms of location, it is fairly central. Just two stops away from Taipei Main station and in an area where there is a fair amount of food, great coffee (Simple Kaffa), supermarket (Carrefour) and the Huashan Creative Park. The hotel room is huge. The toilet alone can fit in a whole other bed. There is a huge jacuzzi bath in the toilet and although the jet spray is not strong, it's comforting after a long day of walking. The bed is firm and two pillows are provided for each person. Overall the room looks rather old and dated. I wouldn't say it is very clean or well-maintained but it's acceptable. Although my room overlooked the road, it was one of the quieter hotels I've ever stayed in. Couldn't even hear much footfall from outside the corridor, the occupants next door or traffic from below. Perhaps the only real bugbear is how the blackout curtains did not really work well they did not go all the way to the top, and sunrise was around 5 am. We stayed there for five days and had five days of breakfast at Louisa Coffee. Coffee was decent and the sandwiches were warm and hearty. I particularly liked their Lime Rooibos Tea and tuna/corn sandwich. Overall good value for money stay.

I booked through the agoda platform for 2024/2/10-2/12 but it changed to 2024/1/10-1/12. I checked my mailbox at 13 and found out that aogoda asked me to review the hotel. I found that the date was wrong, so I called agoda. Customer service didn’t give me the answer until the 16th. The hotel was unwilling to refund the money. Could it be that they didn’t even call to inform them when they found no one was checking in?

I found that the date was wrong, so I called agoda. Customer service didn’t give me the answer until the 16th. The hotel was unwilling to refund the hotel. Could it be that they didn’t even call to inform them when they found no one was checking in? It costs more than 7,000 yuan to see a rubbish hotel. When I return to Taipei in the future, I will directly block the hotel and not list it as a check-in option.

Ok but not a great experience
Too loud and a bit old. We stayed there for 4 night. I asked for a quite room and they confirmed, but gave us a room directly facing the bridge with 24/7 traffic. very annoying was a surcharge for a lost key card. They charged NTD 300 for a simple plastic card?! I had to ask explicitly to block the lost card because they put the room number and the hotel address on the card (don’t ask me why!). All in all not a very pleasant stay, sorry.

Totally wowed
Stayed here for 4 nights. Booked a corner room with open bathroom, but realised that the room does not work well for us especially with a young kid. More suitable for honeymoon couples.
Hotel allowed us to “downgrade” to another room the next day which was much better for us, with bathroom and toilet amenities behind closed door. So one really has to choose the room wisely when booking the room.
Both rooms that we stayed come with the view of Taipei 101 though. Was totally happy with the size of rooms which were spacious.
We were given 2 breakfast vouchers for Louisa Coffee for each specific day of stay; no vouchers for kid though. On some days, we did not use the vouchers as we wanted to try out local food nearby but were not able to use back the vouchers on other days; thought this was inflexible especially for family of more than 2.
In terms of nearby attractions, Huashan Creative Park is within walking distance with some indoor activities for kids. There are also big chain restaurants nearby. The famous Fu Hang Dou Jiang soya bean shop is also nearby.
Overall was happy to have found this hotel and hopefully price remains the same the next time we return.

Decent staySpacious room with jacuzzi which costs less than 3,000 TWD per night
We stayed there for 4 nights and love the place so much.
Spacious clean room with decent facilities, everything worked extremely well from hot shower, A/C, large jacuzzi, dreamy bed and pillows. That makes the room isn’t just a place to sleep but a decent hideaway to ‘rest’ properly.
Front staffs were very friendly and speak fine English, they provide a portable heater for us and did many things to make our stay supreme.
I saw a few complaints about breakfast on here. But come on guys, what do you expect from a chain café? Sunday buffet brunch with Canadian lobster and A5 Wagyu beef? Frankly speaking, complimentary breakfast from Louisa café was not bad, we had almost everything on the menu and have no complaint about that. In fact, their Chicken Sandwich had the most fresh vegetables than other meals we had in Taipei. While their Americano was superior than Western chain ones.
Not to mention there are locals eateries just across the road on the east side of the hotel, fancy restaurants in Huashan 1914 Creative Park just opposite to the hotel, Michelin bib gourmet’s Fuhang Soy Milk in 5 minwalk, and many more around. It’s prime location to eat. Be a adventurous traveler, not a picky tourist.
Now here a few minor things to improve, the restroom door can be very loud while closing, the wardrobe space is very small(4 clothes maximum), the dryer worked weak. There is no decent station for lady to do makeup. But considering from their price point(we paid less than 3,000TWD per night)and it’s super accessible from MRT(2stops to Taipei Main sta.), bus stops. We would stay here again rather tiny room in crowded Ximending.
