Great for kids, lots and lots of fun toys, wonderful decorations, makes you feel happy and comfortable
Pros:
- The top attraction for the kids of course, being the themed rooms with a slide in your own room, and other toys.
- Lobby/common area on level 1 has a slide and ball pit, and more than 20 vehicles, some of which are electric, so the children can “drive” them around. There are all kinds of vehicles, from motorcycles to trains to princess carriages. They also change the vehicles from day to day so if you are there for multiple nights, you will get a variety of vehicles to experience.
- Cute decorations everywhere! Whether on the stairwell, main area, and even the ceiling!
- Share a post on social media and get a toy as a keepsake!
- Step stool provided in the room’s bathroom for children to reach the sink.
- Small kitchenette with cups and a sink available for usage on level 1 common area. Useful for washing fruits, etc.
- Lots of seating and table space at the play area, so many parents were eating cup noodles/dinner as their children played. There is a bathroom on level 1 too so it’s easy for parents to supervise their children (main door is left unlocked with no staff manning most of the time, so I don’t recommend leaving your children alone).
- Very affordable. Though the breakfast pics look like it’s a fixed set, it’s actually refillable upon request. It feels more “home cooked” than those standard mass-produced hotel breakfasts.
- Toys are well-maintained and generally clean. Even the battery-operated toys in the room are working.
- In case you are wondering, there is a lift inside.
Cons:
- No separation between shower area, toilet bowl and sink, so it’s a bit wet. They do however provide common rubber slippers on level 1 which can help with this issue.
- Removal of shoes outside the building. While I understand the need to maintain the cleanliness of the play area and dining area, which is the area the moment you step into the “house”, I feel it could be better if there were a shoe rack on the inside of the building/another holding area. Our shoes being left outside to the elements just didn’t give me a good feeling especially because it was raining heavily.
- Earliest time for breakfast is 8am, need to consider this if you’re planning to go to places like taiping shan.
- Slightly unstable wifi in both the lobby and room (be sure to turn on airplane mode to avoid accidental data usage).
Overall I recommend it for those with kids, as it’s really a one-of-a-kind cosy accommodation which you don’t come across often. Your kid will surely enjoy it and so will you!
