Natural & Comfortable Stay
Crowne Plaza Tainan by IHG offers a relaxing stay with excellent views and a calm atmosphere. I booked a room with a balcony and arrived at night, so the view wasn’t immediately noticeable. However, in the morning, the scenery was truly impressive — I’m not sure whether it overlooks a lake or the sea, but either way, the open view was a highlight of the stay.
The room was clean and well-maintained, with a nice bathtub and a spacious sink area that comfortably allows two people to use it at the same time. The interior design features plenty of wood tones and wooden elements, creating a natural and relaxing feel that suits both short and longer stays.
The hotel has several on-site restaurants. Although I didn’t dine there, they appeared popular, with many guests enjoying their meals. Staff were friendly, proactive, and always willing to help, which added to the overall comfort of the experience.
I stayed during December, and the Christmas decorations were well done. A large Christmas tree in the lobby added a festive and welcoming touch.
There are a few things worth noting. Planes can be heard passing by, even with the balcony doors closed. It didn’t affect my sleep, but it could be distracting during phone calls. In line with ESG practices, disposable amenities like toothbrushes aren’t provided, which is understandable. However, tableware isn’t prepared in the room and must be requested — personally, I feel reusable tableware could be included by default.

A beautiful property. Spacious, modern guest rooms. The breakfast buffet was well worth the price. Travel to the Anping attractions and into Tainan via UBER was convenient and inexpensive. I would gladly stay there again.

Lovely, design-forward hotel overlooking Taijiang National Park and wetlands. We enjoyed our stay in this urban oasis. Across the street are foot and cycling paths that lead to the beach on the west side and directly to Old Anping sites in the east. The rooms were spacious and modern. We did not eat breakfast, but enjoyed a meal in the fun lobby bar and also an exquisite gourmet dinner at the hotel’s Chinese restaurant.

The front desk clerk. Male with split haircut clerk have a serious of attitude. Will not come back again because of him.

Everyone is very nice at the hotel. There are bikes free to ride. It is super convenient.
