Nice hotel with fun style!
We had booked a double room and the pictures looked great. However, the room we got was on the bottom floor facing a small courtyard with roofing on it. So it offered no natural light and not the same experience as pictured on the room images.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, with a great atmosphere around the restaurant and bar. Loved that! And the location of the hotel is perfect for anyone who wants the Copenhagen vibe.
We did have a few room kerfuffles. Our first room was adjoining and unfortunately very noisy, so we moved and upgraded to a Junior Suite. When we returned that evening, we discovered it was next to the ventilation engine, with a low vibrational sound that felt like trying to sleep beside a techno club. Eventually, we changed rooms again.
This is where the staff really shone. The next morning, before we even had to explain everything, reception had already sorted it: we could stay in our new room for our second night and they refunded the upgrade difference. I had been stressing about it all night, so I was genuinely on the verge of tears with relief. To top it off, they even gave us a brilliant breakfast recommendation.
That sums up our experience: things went wrong, but the team genuinely cared about making them right and ensuring we enjoyed our stay.
A lot of people write about the lack of air conditioning. The first day was hot and the room felt a little stuffy, but the ventilation improved significantly the next day. So we didn't have any issues with that.
The gym is small, beautifully designed and well equipped. Do not miss their Copenhagen guide, I’m keeping it for our next trip.

Overall had a good experience and stay! The location is amazing, the inside is quite beautiful and formal, comfortable.
A few things to note, advice:
Bring earplugs - church bells ring every 15 minutes, and even the internal fire escape sounds are loud at all hours.
No AC or fans - so bring light layers and open windows as capable.
Sink is teeny tiny - but maybe that’s common in Copenhagen.
Housekeeping came into the room one day at 9:08 am, while we were still in bed/getting ready. Kindly left and came back later.

We had a super weird encounter with the night shift desk manager when requesting a new steamer since the one in our room wasn’t working properly, otherwise the hotel was cute and in a good location.

Bella Grande is brilliantly located, has a fun covered courtyard, an excellent in-house Italian restaurant (Donna) which you get 15% off if staying, lots of lovely nooks and crannies and lovely lovely staff. However, unless you’re in the courtyard or front lobby it is very atmospheric for which read dimly lit which makes it brilliant for a date (presuming you don’t want to gaze at your companion’s face too closely) and a bit murky for everything else, even the lighting in the rooms was a bit dim. The only other things to mention are firstly that there are only two very small lifts at each end of the building so it’s often quicker to take the stairs as long as you’re not too high up or carrying luggage. Secondly, the “gym”/ fitness room leaves a little to be desired, an investment of sub £1,000 for just a couple of machines would make it far more useful. Overall a lovely place with a lovely feel in a very good spot for the centre of town. Maybe not the absolute best for a work visit (we had to afk then to put desks in our room which they obliged brilliantly) but a really nice place.
