I only rate the restaurant, but the hotel is also quite pretty. And dogs allowed.
Ambience and location is great and the food and service were very good. Clear recommendation

Absolutely recommended

A beautiful hotel in one of the nicest villages on the Moselle. No tourist overflow, cute village with mainly restaurants, no real shops, so it is nice and quiet and you can eat in a different restaurant every night. Staff and owners super friendly and welcoming! We had a room overlooking the Moselle which was very comfortable. Fine beds and like everywhere else in Germany soft floppy pillows, but double folding and then you sleep fine again. Everything very clean! Food in the restaurant is really top! Beautiful walks from the hotel and a day of cycling rented with good tips from the owner.
There are no rooms with balconies, but we have seen little of that at all.

Having to wait a long time for order

Just got back after dinner at the restaurant. Unfortunately they forgot about us and they only found out after 35 min waiting after the installation was included. now that can happen and I will not say anything about that.
But offering a drink because you have to wait so long, for example, would be appropriate.
Now they ask if you want another drink, but that consumption is also on the bill.
The trout was perfect, the Winzersteak had broken through too long.
The waitress was super nice and again something like this can happen, but fix it differently than just saying sorry now.

Nicely located restaurant on the Moselle!!!

A nicely located restaurant with a great outdoor terrace. The staff were friendly. I once ordered the bungee cheese with bread to try, what can I say, at just under 30 degrees this is just the thing. Good location in Bilstein, I can recommend.

Geheimtipp

Haus Burg Metternich is a hot bath, it feels like coming home. Now ended up here for the 3rd time in 4 years. Because we want to, of course. Highly recommended in all areas or "Geheimtipp". Our experiences have been nothing but positive. We will be back!!!
