Quiet bearings with slight potential for improvement

Good location on the outskirts of Berlin. The hotel is quiet and has a beautiful lake out back. The against invites you to cycle and jog. Parking is limited on site but the side streets are not too crowded. Unfortunately, my room was very bright facing the street. This is of course due to the lighting but here you could try to improve. The bar was closed very early and the technical equipment of the rooms is allowed to improve. The two nights were okay though, so I would book the hotel again for a short overnight stay in Berlin for appointments in Friedrichshagen.

Price-performance is not right

We stayed in the middle of July 2025 for 2 nights at the Dämeritzseehotel. 150€ per night for a double room + breakfast extra on top.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The rooms are old and look dated. The windows are also old and are no good.
The planes are constantly flying over the hotel and you get the feeling you are sleeping on the gateway. Guests in the hotel garden can also be heard very loudly. Triple glazed windows with soundproofing would help here...
The air conditioning was broken, there are no shutters on the windows - so it is too warm, too bright and too noisy.
Breakfast at 18 € per person is not worth the money. So is dinner. Far too small portions that are completely overpriced.
Parking is not enough and is not enough for guests. So you have to put the car on the road, which is already fully parked by residents.
All in all, an outdated hotel that has come of age. As a location for events quite nice, as a conference hotel probably ok, privately we cannot recommend it. Value for money is not right.

Great service in the restaurant and bar. The rest is getting worse.

We have stayed in this hotel many times because we like it a lot, despite our mixed experiences with the staff. People don't even greet you because conversations are more important. Regardless, the waiter in the evenings and the waitress on the last evening are sweethearts and make up for a lot.
This time we had a mini room, although very few guests stayed in the hotel. They could have accommodated us a bit, given how often we stayed. The worst thing was that there were lots of black hairs in both the bed and the bathroom. They couldn't have been ours. The bathroom was pretty unkempt anyway.
At the moment we don't know whether we will look for other accommodation in Berlin.
