Very good
A nice surprise, peace and space in a big city.
Rooms with wooden floors and a rare cleaning in the services, good breakfast on the attic. Very particular and original furniture, managed by a group of nice and kind ladies, atmosphere of old villa of the Aunt.
Bar market and restaurants within walking distance. Area well served by transport.

Very bad expérience as black customers
I dont undesrtand why this hotel is a 4 stars hôtel. As a stranger i felt that they are a not opened to black people cause no hello, no good morning or any smile from the staff. They have total different attitude with my german colleagues. I dont recommend it to any black person. Will never come back here.

A disappointing Berlin Hotel
This hotel is supposedly in a quiet, residential area - so quiet that I never saw anyone else in the buildings surrounding the hotel. There is not always someone at reception and they do not speak great English so it was hard to make myself understood as I do not speak German. They checked me into the wrong room and made me move the following morning. I did not feel that the staff were bothered whether I had a good or bad experience. There are stairs up to the front door and no lift inside so if your room is on the upper floors, you will have to drag your suitcase up the stairs. Breakfast was average and served on the top floor. There was no coffee machine, it was ready made and you had to help yourself from the large flask. The room was basic, the bed was uncomfortable and there was no main light in the bedroom area, only a wierd shaped lamp so it was dark. The closest underground station is situated on a street which is the "Red Light District" of Berlin so it is not advisable to come back late to the hotel, which also has very little lighting outside. There are no restaurants nearby. I do not know how this is a 4 star hotel. I was very disappointed.

A Wonderful Place To Stay in Berlin
I loved staying at this hotel!
It's a little tricky to find as it is tucked away off the main street, but once found it is in a perfect location for visiting all of the main tourist sites in Berlin. If you like to walk, everything is within a reasonable walking distance. If not, there are two close metro stations.
The room was clean and the bedding was wonderful. Of special note, is the breakfast room on the top floor. It was cold and rainy when we were there, but I'm sure it would be lovely to eat outside in better weather. The food was all delicious and the ladies were very friendly and welcoming.

Lovely 5 night stay in balcony room
Our first floor room with a balcony was very spacious and it gave us a lovely place to sit in the evenings and enjoy some food and a beer. The balcony overlooks a small, quiet garden at the front of the building. Here you can hear birdsong in the tall trees and the trickling of the water feature below.
There are at least two supermarkets nearby, a large off-licence and other small eateries. This is a good location for visiting the Neue Nationalgalerie and the Gemaldegalerie with its collection of old masters. You can walk to these easily from the hotel. The U-Bahn stop is not far way.
The service was excellent and the buffet breakfast was very good. There were two citrus juices available but I would have liked there to have been some apple juice as I suffer from acid reflux. There was chilled water so this helped.
The room was clean and warm and the bed comfortable. The shower was the best shower I have ever used as the water pressure was excellent. There was no kettle in the room so you will need to bring your own travel kettle and cafetiere if you want a hot drink.
I would definitely go back here as we really enjoyed our stay.
