Those who want "budget" will do well here.

Quite an affordable hotel in the best location: In a maximum of 10 minutes, one can walk to Potsdamer Platz; the nearest subway station is only a few steps from the hotel anyway.
The room may be small, but we only needed it for sleeping anyway. It was clean and served its purpose. Additionally, the hotel is located on a not very busy street - it was very quiet. Five stars for value for money!
We booked the hotel without breakfast, but there was the option to spontaneously join for breakfast at €11 per person. Not the lavish breakfast of a 5-star hotel, but perfectly fine for a fair price.
I would come back here for my next trip to Berlin.

Hotel Normal with good location

The hotel is well located, close to checkpoint charlie, topography of terror and mall of saloon.
Regarding location 10/10.
As for the staff except for a girl they were not very nice, rather serious and even one day I asked if they could fill my thermos with normal water and they told me not to...
The room is fine, fulfills its function, the shower is debtor of the room and the bacha also, there was a rare smell in the hallway but it was clean in general both room and hotel.
We contracted without breakfast so I can't have my say on this one.
If you have a tight budget but want to be close to the center I highly recommend it, otherwise, there are better.

Unpleasant stay at Ibis Budget Berlin Potsdamer Platz

Hi,
I booked a room for my family at the ibis budget Berlin City Potsdamer Platz from 3rd to 6th July. It was not pleasant time at all. Reception disk unpleasant to deal with, small rooms, no Kettle and was told no hotel in Germany will provide such a thing.

Even though our reservation was for two rooms they were in different floors, so our family got splited. But they were very helpful with the parking and changing rooms since our first room smelled too much sigarett.
The rooms were clean.
The shower smelled like sewer, but it was during a heat wave so I hope it was because of that. These are old buildi gs, so something like that might happened. The other room my family stayed,at had no problems at all😊
