Great apartments, good if you arrive by train
We felt comfortable here during a week's vacation. The apartments are modern, well equipped, unfortunately a bit worn out at one point or another (sofa). Unfortunately, the view of the old spa clinic was not very nice, but the hotel can't help it. Especially the transfer to and from the station is highly recommended for train passengers and we were happy to use. The drivers, reception, Service and cleaning staff are all friendly. Especially "spiderwoman" who saved us from a spider! We were able to use kids club and pool from Arkona beach hotel, which was great, especially when the weather didn't play along. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired, in July it was unfortunately partly very crowded in the breakfast room. In front of the hotel also a bus stops towards Prora, a bus towards the pier would have been nice sometimes if you are traveling with a child without a car, as the pier is still 20min walk away. Further cleaning with towel change at no extra cost would be desirable.

Disappointing
The accommodation is very nice, but otherwise we were extremely disappointed.
We wanted to park on site, as all the parking spaces were taken, we had to park about 15 minutes walk away and get up at 6:30 a.m. every morning to buy a new parking ticket. An extra bed was ordered, but was also not there. Our room was extremely dirty (e.g. dead cellar rattles behind the bed & lots of black hair on the bed). We also wanted to talk to the hotel management to say that we are dissatisfied. We were assured that someone would contact us by phone. We are waiting until today for a corresponding call.
Unfortunately, the "hotel" did not really make our holiday seem like a holiday.

For longer stays maybe not
We had one of the apartments on the ground floor. The mattress has had its best years. I've never seen anything so sloppy. The room from the cleanliness was expandable, especially so basic. The kitchen went so the microwave hasn't been really cleaned for some time. The rest of the room went, except for the bathroom. Where you want to clean up and feel good. The shower was full of deposits (mold and shower residue) we drove there on the first evening still to lidl and bought ourselves cleaner. Soaked for half an hour and the shower was clean (which is the bad thing about it) so in 1001 the bathroom and kitchen is now clean. Because we cleaned all that up. We were not having the nerve nor constantly changing a room. And it took such simple steps to clean everything up. I think that's the worst.
Breakfast in the adjoining hotel was awesome. And the staff very friendly and also real on zack.

We had very good weather, place is close to beach and area has a very long path to walk between the beach and hotels. A lot of places to eat, close to all the things to see, treetopwalking is a must, dogs are not allowed eventhough its possible and easy to get around.
Kingschair is a almost 3 km walk throuh the forest and back again, i would consider møns klint a better place, but the walk in the wood was cousy, however Rügen and the hotel is a place we are likely to visit again

New Year's Eve with a difference
Such a beautiful holiday room, even with external shutters. For me, as a dark sleeper, it was paradise. Super friendly staff. Food was served in the Rugard Hotel and the New Year's Eve party in the Arkona. Very lovingly organized. The food was excellent.
