Completely successful and relaxing holiday

We have rarely experienced such a warm welcome. We felt completely comfortable. The rooms are tastefully decorated. Breakfast left nothing to be desired. Dinner is highly recommended. Manuela also offers yoga in the lovingly furnished yoga room. Here, she responds individually to the wishes and needs of the participants. Beginners are also superbly accompanied. With her calm and warm nature she takes everyone with her. We stayed for the first time on Borkum and will come back.

The perfect vacation!

It was a perfect holiday with our wonderful hosts Manu and Christoph Michaelsen, in a romantic room with a comfortable, large bed, a large shower and a cute terrace. The house is in the middle of beautiful nature and right next door in the Café Restaurant Ostland, you will be spoiled with huge portions of delicious food by Tina, Patrick and their hard-working, lovely service staff.

Borkum for over 30 years...............

We (74/72) have been going to the island for over 30 years and you can trust our assessment. It is of course very interesting to see how Borkum has changed over the course of 3 decades. All to the advantage. Apart from constant rain, which we only had twice in 30 years, you should enjoy the island in all weather conditions. Otherwise it is true that the weather on Borkum is better than indicated on the mainland weather channels.
What I don't like so much anymore is the general price structure on Borkum.
In a way, tourists are still being fooled, which is supposed to justify the high prices. The AG-Ems ferry company also has a high price structure, but that does not justify the high food prices in the supermarkets, for example.
Medical care can also be very fragile in an emergency. Basic care is certainly available, but with only 2 GPs and the MVZ being overstaffed, it would be better if there were no major accidents on Borkum. For chronically ill people, it can quickly become very expensive, for example if someone with kidney disease has to go to the mainland for dialysis.
Anyone who is interested in the natural advantages of Borkum, such as ozone-rich air, a clean environment and beautiful beaches, is in good hands here.
