This small private hotel has been a historic half-timbered inn since 1685. It is located 600 meters from Celle's main railway station and 600 meters from the pedestrian zone and congress center.

The best hotel in Celle. You feel immediately at home and welcome. Great breakfast, beautifull garden.

The room was spacious, clean and modern.
Of course, the house is old - but that's exactly what makes it so charming. It is very lovingly decorated, with a lot of sense of homely atmosphere.
Restaurant/winery are closed but the owners offer the space in the evening as a cozy place to clone and drink wine (beer, water). Thank you for the nice wine recommendation and setting up the table!
Breakfast was very good. Sufficient choice was available for every taste.

Very good location, everything else has plenty of air up
The operators are very friendly, the staff sometimes deviates from it.
The room we had (130€/night) was not only small and cramped, it was dark and very old fashioned dark green. The carpet has certainly been there for several years, it has expired and is muffled. Traces of former furniture are clearly visible, as are traces of human use. If you go into the spacious bathroom of the night, the person who has bedded opposite the bathroom door is completely blinded, the light is automatically adjusted. The room service was very rudimentary, the bed was covered and smoothly painted, that’s it. We had e.g. glasses and bottles from the hotel’s refrigerator (a very good service facility!) taken to the room - these were never taken by the staff after use.
The breakfast room is completely overboard, dark and with little fresh air. The selection at the buffet is varied, but for bread we found discount goods in plastic bags.
When checking out, the employee had more to do with her colleague than take care of us, let alone ask once what the stay was like for us.
Conclusion: there is an urgent need to renovate and train the staff. A very good location is not everything and do not compensate for too narrow, too dark a room. The asking price seemed to us nothing justified.
