Recommended business hotel

Well-known hotel near the main train station, located 1 min from highway access. Tram to the city centre leaves opposite the hotel. Room functionally furnished, with balcony, bathroom with walk-in shower (incl. rain shower). In the basement is sauna area and indoor pool. Underground parking available. Breakfast selection very good, breakfast room has been renovated (has become good), friendly service.

A lot for the price. Nice, big rooms, with no big faff about them. Just plainly very decent, and everything you expect from a basic hotel room in place and just works.

Air conditioning not working

I had specifically booked a room in the Maritim Hotel, known for being high-quality, with early check-in for a comparatively high price in order to escape the hot apartment during the extreme heat (June 26th to 27th).
Unfortunately, I then had to realize that the air conditioning in my room did not work at all. Even after asking, the problem was not solved. The result was a completely sleepless, sweat-soaked, and unpleasant night, after which I woke up absolutely exhausted. An absolute imposition for the price paid. One wonders how such a price is justified when basic things are missing.

Good value for money, unfriendly staff in the breakfast room.

The hotel is no longer the newest, just like the furniture. Nevertheless, everything was tidy and clean. A room with a balcony is also rare. Unfortunately, someone in the neighboring room was always smoking cannabis, which came through, but the hotel cannot be blamed for that.
The staff in the dining room was really terrible. For 24 euros, a breakfast without juice and fried eggs is a joke.
Allegedly, there was water damage, although I don't see how that relates to the preparation of fried eggs and omelets. They could have easily placed a few bottles of juice, which large hotels usually have during conferences and such. Simply saying there is water is outrageous.
But what is really outrageous is the staff there. More than half of the tables were empty, yet not one was cleared, even though there was more than enough staff available.
There was also no communication about why there was no juice and eggs. We and others addressed several of the service staff. Some of them simply turned their heads away and left without giving an answer. There were several of them. I have never experienced such behavior in a hotel before.
If there had been a decent breakfast with juice, as is customary everywhere. It would have been a very good value for money.
The price was really good.
