Very good

What stands out immediately is the friendliness of the employees. At the reception, one feels welcome; the smile is genuine, not forced.
Strategically, the hotel is very conveniently located; even on foot, one can quickly reach the Zwinger and the old town. The nearest tram stop is almost at the doorstep.
We felt very comfortable in the hotel. Everything was very clean, the beds extremely comfortable, and we slept well. The breakfast was excellent and abundant, and in the evening, one can dine superbly in the restaurant.
Noteworthy was the congratulatory card for my birthday, which I found in our room to my surprise - with best wishes from the entire hotel staff. I had never experienced anything like that before.
Conclusion: We would gladly return. However, the parking fees of €19 per day are significantly overpriced.

THIS IS A HOTEL TO GO TO IF YOU GO TO DRESDEN, AND THE BUDGET IS LOW: The BEST: the cleanliness of the room, the details of the room, NOBODY TALKS ABOUT THIS, but it is excellently thought out in its functionality, with all the details so that your needs are met, for example: the number of plugs with double usb for passenger comfort, the comfort of the beds, the linen with towels suitable in size, the location 4 minutes from the central train station, the friendliness of the staff, always attentive to your needs, and the views, since by the location of the hotel, most of the rooms have view of the tourist monuments, in their domes. Considering its price, it is impeccable everything.

You will be punished by Holiday Inn if you are forced to cancel.

I had to cancel my booking for an unexpected health issue. The booking confirmation stated that I could cancel free of charge up to the planned day of arrival. Yet, they demanded that I pay a 'penalty' of 90% of the costs because I was forced to cancel three days in advance. Any attempt by me to explain the situation was simply ignored and I was immediately threatened with a debt collector if I didn't pay within a week. I will never book anything with Holiday Inn again. They are rude and greedy.

We are very sorry that you had to cancel your booking at our hotel at short notice.
Your account of the situation is inaccurate, and your accusations against our hotel are unjustified.
You made your booking with us through a tour operator, who informed you of the booking conditions at the time of booking due to the special nature of the event.
We simply adhered to the contractually agreed terms and charged the cancellation fees. There was no threat from a debt collection agency.
I assure you once again that we deeply regret this situation, but we cannot identify any wrongdoing on our part.

Great location - breakfast was great.

I booked the most 'basic' room - I wish all rooms had a mini fridge and iron/ironing board. They should be included for a hotel like the Holiday Inn, so that was my only criticism of this hotel given the price. Location was ideal - very walkable to the city area, and one of the main train stations. Breakfast was really good - lots of options for all diets and tastes.
