Recommendation: Top service at a preferential price
We had a lovely lovingly harmoniously furnished room with direct views of the city, a very pre-coming service and friendly support in finding sights. The beds are large and sleeping in these very pleasant. The apartment is equipped with a small complete kitchenette, but was used by us only for tea making, because the breakfast is very extensive and versatile. There are plenty of free parking spaces right next to and in front of the house. All in all, excellent value for money; we were very satisfied!

A different room and no Rammstein concert could have a positive effect on the rating
Positive:
The two ladies in the breakfast area were extremely attentive and nice.
The breakfast was very good (just a freshly prepared egg dish - other than boiled eggs - or sliced fresh fruit would have been nice).
The location is very quiet, although a bit far from the center - however, public transport (the stop of which is not far away) works excellently and seems to run around the clock.
The room is equipped with a kitchenette.
Negative:
The price-performance ratio is not good at all: was it really just because of the Rammstein concert that you pay an absolutely extortionate price for 2 nights in the smallest apartment in the building??? How much was the price then in the apartments that are 3 times as big and offer much more comfort?
There was hardly enough space to move in the small room. There was therefore only one bedside table with a bedside lamp, which made lighting at night a little difficult. For the same reason, there were probably no proper blackout curtains in the narrow niche between the bed and the window, just thin "flags" - ergo: as soon as the sun comes up, the room is as bright as day.
Perhaps the artificial flower tree could be removed from the room, then there would at least be room for a second bedside table with a lamp.
We had the opportunity to take a look at the apartment opposite: several rooms (each of which was larger than our apartment in total) plus a balcony and according to the hotel website, normally only €35 more per night (?) - that would be perfectly fine...

High quality apartments in quiet setting
Stopped here for two nights during a tour of Germany. The apartment is in a smart and upmarket suburb of Dresden, about 25 minutes on a tram or bus from the centre of the city (old town) or 15 minutes from the new town and then a 10 minute walk. Weisser Hirsch has a number of small restaurants and shops, but the city is in easy reach thanks to the regular bus service.
The building is very smart in an old fashioned way. We had an apartment on the top floor which, whilst small, was clean and well furnished. Basic cooking facilities are provided as well as a smart and well appointed bathroom with shower and stunning views across the city.
This was great value for when we visited in the height of summer and provided you are happy to have a short traveltime into Dresden, this is a really good choice if you are exploring the city but want some peace and quiet. We even noticed some residents having a BBQ outside and if you are staying a longer period this is good for socialising.
Well recommended for a budget stay.

Charming
We had a wonderful one bedroom apartment at the Apartment Villa Ulenburg. The kitchen was nicely appointed and good sized. There was even a large refrigerator. The apartment had a large bathroom with a tub and handheld shower(with a folding glass door); large living room with a flat screen TV and audio equipment, a king bed with a sitting area and table for four; and an additional sleeping porch for our daughter. The furniture was lovely. Villa Ulenburg is an easy walk to a main street(Bautzner Landstrasse) and the village/district of Weisser Hirsch. Every kind of shop you could want was just within a few blocks and on a main streetcar/bus line. It was a great place to relax at the end of each day.

It's a place I'd like to return to!)
I like my only 1! day&night staying at Villa Ulenburg - very quiet place (Weisser Hirsch) with private parking (I had a car:)), nice, clean, big enough room with hidden kitchen place!!! (see photos:)). It's 5-6 km from the center of Dresden, but it's not a problem - you can use tram #11 to go to the center (tram stop is only 300 m from Villa Ulenburg). Besides, I received all the information I needed from personal - city map, public transportation map and so on. Thank you very much, I'll surely come back when I'm in Dresden!

If you intend to arrive later than 18:00, please contact the hotel in advance by telephone. It is possible to pay the hotel by credit card if this has been agreed beforehand. There is no lift due to the historic staircase. Please inform the property in advance of your stay or during the booking process if you plan to bring a pet.
