Hotel room and service outstanding

We were at this hotel once again; from the staircase to the room, everything was impeccably clean, even when using the restaurant restrooms, nothing to complain about. The young lady from the hotel floor was on the ball and also took care of our breakfast for us in the morning. Everything was available: coffee, juices, jam, rolls, croissants, and a great scrambled egg, plus a lovingly arranged cold cut platter, simply great. So warm and friendly that even a little chat took place with a smile; we felt very comfortable.

Never again

We were there with 15 people and overall, despite the great weather, it was quite quiet. We ordered our food, and when the waiter returned about 15 minutes later, he informed us that 2 people would have to order something else because there was no ground meat left. (This statement is unacceptable, as there are supermarkets nearby where I, as a restaurateur, could have quickly obtained ground meat before embarrassing myself like this). The waiter sat down with us guests and acted like a good friend while taking the order. Many of us found this behavior very inappropriate. When the food finally arrived, it was lukewarm and tasted terrible. The meat was overcooked, and the rump steak was so bad that it felt like shoe sole. Even the fries looked pale and bland. The rice was, in terms of color and consistency, simply disgusting. Simply not recommended!!! The terrible thing is that it is also quite expensive for a suburb of Bonn. I myself live in Cologne, and even at Heumarkt, where the store rents are significantly higher, you do not pay the prices like in this establishment. People, stay away; this place is not worth a cent. We all drove home hungry, really a shame.

Service was below standard.

On Sunday at 1:20 PM, I sat outside; I just wanted to have a quick drink. Despite the nice weather, there was little going on; five tables were occupied. Waited for 25 minutes, no address from the staff, who walked past me 8 times (!!) during that time. After 30 minutes, I got up and informed the waiter accordingly. No expression of regret, no apology, just the following dialogue: "What would you like?" "Thank you, nothing more now." "Just for your information." "Have a nice day." Between "Have a nice" and "day," I was already turned away. I believe the one star speaks for itself (0.5 stars do not exist).

A satisfactory stay

Stayed for 2 nights while visiting someone who lives 2 streets away. The hotel is in the center of Duisdorf. Clean room and nice breakfast. The only thing that was unpleasant were the thin walls. I was awakened every morning around 5 am because the guests in the next room decided to watch tv. I could even hear them talk. The excellent free wifi made up for this i guess.
But overall satisfactory stay.
