Old bathhouse SUPER

Very nice, historic half-timbered house. Super renovated. Nice rooms, very good restaurant. Very friendly staff.

Old bathhouse SUPER

The Old Bathhouse is a very nicely renovated half-timbered house. Our room was very nice. The owners and the Service staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is excellent. The Altes Badehaus receives the grade 1+ with distinction from us.

Cosmopolitan Cave in Eberbach

You go down 4 steps into the Romanesque vaults of 14nochwas and dive into another world. Top clean, very upscale but this much is anticipated no expensive pseudo nepp at high prices but everything at least worth what you pay. The atmosphere is fashionable to Cosmopolitan. You wait for jumbo champagne with sparklers to be carried past you. Yes you feel beamed away to Nice or Saint-Tropez right on the beach. Pierre the owner does the rest to fuel the mood: Tatoos all over, Dutt on his head; you think to yourself: he knows the world and brings it to Eberbach.... The food is not fine, but much better than that : as if mother were to store her private recipes here: hearty, large portions, at the prices there is also something for the small wallet. My Italian salad for 10.50 was so big that I had to be helped so that there was still room for my second course. It then came as it must be: behind Hirschragout lay the finest fibrous goulash, which virtually melts on the tongue. Just like cooked at Christmas and then on the second holiday tastes best. Chapeau! She side dish was swapped to gnocchi without any ifs or buts and I had my perfect Christmas dinner. Like I said, it's a lot and I was pumping. Still, there had to be espresso and ice cream. Resume: immediately again. We came as a four and come back as a tithe to the Oktoberfest on October 4.. again Bravo
You notice here that there is no saving on the goods use and woops the purse opens. Nice trick.
PS: the alcohol-free Prosecco is a find; unfortunately they don't sell their fundus outside the house, otherwise I would have taken a few more bottles....

Cosy

We were passing by bike and glad to have found a place to stay. The history of the house is very interesting!
It is true that the shower is a bit “unconventional”, but the room was cozy, clean and quiet.
Unfortunately, the restaurant had closed, and except at breakfast we did not see a person ;-).

Very disappointing

The hotel is a half-timbered house with little space and lots of slopes. We knew that.
What was surprising, however, were the extremely tiny bathrooms with a 1/3 bathtub directly under an extremely low slope: standing was impossible, sitting only with gymnastic skill.
The breakfast consisted mainly of packaged, long-lasting foods, including hard-boiled Easter eggs in a refrigerator in the breakfast room. The breakfast waitress could have served coffee in a thermos flask, boiled breakfast eggs or even made scrambled eggs, but she refused.
The mediocre quality of the hotel in no way justifies the price.
We cannot recommend the hotel.
