Wonderful find at short notice

We were driving from London to Berlin and on the return leg we decided to pop into Freudenberg, so glad we did,Beautiful town but we arrived late and of course everything was shut, our fault entirely.Hotel was suitable if a little dated. The restaurant was superb with and under attentive waiter! Still, the breakfast was to die for. So nice to stay in a hotel with german guests, it adds to the atmosphere! checkin and checkout was hassle free. Parking just across the road, 10/10

Unfriendly and arrogant

We were there to eat. There was live music on the terrace. On our polite and friendly request to turn down the music a bit so that you can talk, I suppose the manager came. He didn't introduce himself to us. At first he offered us a place a little further away from the music in the shade. But when we said that it was too cold for us in the shade, he said in an incredibly unfriendly and arrogant tone that he wanted the music so loud. And that it is not decisive whether guests are comfortable with it. After all, these are his musicians. We paid for our drinks, which unfortunately had already been ordered. We cancelled the meal immediately. I think that as a guest I already deserve to be treated at least kindly. But here in this house, apparently, it doesn't matter if the paying guest feels comfortable. All I can say is, never again!

Young, inexperienced and unfriendly

We'll make room to dine. We wait 5 minutes, we wait 10 minutes, no service in sight. I finally went in and asked for the menu. The answer spoke for itself: Two young women replied rather horrified and annoyed: "Yeah, so just a moment." I took that literally. We waited. To the next table came one of the two women with coffee, but without a menu for us. Ca. Three minutes later, the same lady came and cleared the remains of the last guest from the table, also without a menu. After another 3. Minutes we decided to leave.
I leave the reader to review this experience for a restaurant in this price range.
Indiscussable for us.

Home town

Was born here but not been back for 25 years...but it does not disappoint...authentic and classic...very typical german. .everything i remembered it to be...great places to visit and to eat.
Stayed in a BnB close to town.
Will definately not leave it so long in the future.

Good and Basic

Good clean and silent hotel in the oldtown. Forse sure 4* hotels are different. This one is only the best in town. Food is ok with some bizzarre experiences but need to try once. I've ben there several time and I'll be back.
