NICE small Hotel in Dresden

Very nice and clean room. Building have a restaurant ground floor with a "Biergarten". Very attractive prices, and although the Meny is only "Snitzel", there are a ton of different ones. There are no noise/smell from Restaurant to the Rooms. Some traffic noise, but this is a City! Free Parking, friendly staff, good Wi-Fi.

A very clean and comfortable B & B, somewhat remote.

On the positive side: Our room was immaculately clean and the bed very comfortable. There were frequent trams and buses into central Dresden just 50 metres along the road (9 Euros for a 24 hour family ticket plus another 4 Euros for "City tax"??). Our hostess was eager to help but as her English was about as limited as our German, we missed a little in translation through no fault of hers. There was ample parking and the internet was reliable. The Luft is located over a "Schnizz" schnitzel restaurant (good meals with wine, beer or coffee for lunch or dinner). The restaurant is used as the breakfast room in the mornings. The breakfasts (extra) are filling, if somewhat bland. Dresden City itself is absolutely amazing - there is so much to see and do. We could have spent a week exploring it.
However: The room, in midsummer, was extremely hot. As with most B & B's in Europe, there was no Air Conditioning. There was a ceiling fan which appeared to have been deliberately disabled. My husband managed to fix it, which was a real saving grace as the Luft is too close to the noisy highway to be able to leave the windows open. Without that fan we would have boiled. There is not a lot to do in the area as it is way out in the Dresden commuting belt, close to industries and the highway. We did go for a walk through a leafy park in a close-by suburb, which was pleasant. One other thing, I don't think the B & B is attended/manned at night, only for some hours during the day - this may be problematic for some people. There were no tea/coffee making items, unfortunately.

Great stay in friendly atmosphere

+ Very friendly staff (tips for food, attractions, ...)
+ very clean and modern rooms
+ free parking
+ restaurant within the same building
+ public transport into the city center within 2min walking distance
+ modern bathroom and shower
In conclusion: Very good value for money!

Absolutely friendly host

Pension Luft is a privately run accommodation. Everything was well organized. The room and bathroom perfectly clean and comfortable. The host is very nice and helpful.
The only disadvantage is the time you need to reach the city centre though the S-Bahn Stop is on the spot.

Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt - immer gern wieder !

Wir haben 4 sehr schöne Tage in dieser Pension verbracht. Die Besitzerin war täglich vor Ort und hat sich sehr um unser Wohlbefinden gekümmert. Da sich unsere Anreise verzögerte, haben wir telefonisch Bescheid gegeben und die Schlüsselübergabe war problemlos.
Das Zimmer ist gut ausgestattet und tadellos sauber. Das Bett sehr bequem. Unser Fenster ging zur Straße raus und bei geöffneten Fenstern hörte man die Straße/ Straßenbahn vor dem Haus. Das hat uns aber nicht gestört.
Minibar zu sehr moderaten Preisen ( alles 1€ ). Vor den Zimmer steht ein Kaffeevollautomat zur Verfügung ( Münzeinwurf 1€ ). Im Erdgeschoss gibt es ein empfehlenswertes Schnitzelrestaurant.
Die Pension ist etwas außerhalb, aber problemlos und direkt mit der Straßenbahn zu erreichen. Tagestickets können in der Pension erworben werden. WLAN ist kostenlos und funktioniert einwandfrei.
Wir haben das Frühstück, was man im Restaurant erhalten kann, nicht genutzt, da wir lieber in der Stadt gefrühstückt haben.
Alles in allem kann ich diese Pension absolut empfehlen. Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist topp.
Zudem gab es zum 1jährigen Jubiläum frisch gebackene und superleckere Eierschecke und ein Gläschen Sekt von der Besitzerin und wir durften unsere Räder in ihrer privaten Garage abstellen. Noch mal ein dickes DANKE dafür.
