Excellent stay

What a wonderful inn to stay at. Very friendly staff and in-house restaurant with EXCELLENT dinners. Reasonable pricing, comfortable room / bed made my stay complete. When traveling on business all I need is clean, quiet, comfortable bed and solid internet connection. They have it all.

Simple and basic

It was a comfortable stay. However for this price the breakfast could have been better and the internet was really bad. I could hardly connect to the internet in my room. The room is very basic but since it is not the in center it is very quiet. Overall other then the WiF(which is most important these days) everything is acceptable

Very good hotel

Very affordable and clean. We had the double room (which is recommended for couples). It was very clean and spacious. Free breakfast included and free wifi. Parking outside is also free. No fridge or microwave in the room, and no elevator. The hotel is close to many outdoor and historic attractions in the area. The staff are very friendly and helpful/accommodating. They have certain times to check in (they close at night) so plan ahead. The hotel is very close to Stuttgart 20-25 minutes by car

Home hotel

Nice place with the good service. Polite staff. Calm place in the village area of Schwabian heart of Germany. Home made kitchen. Family owned with the hospitality owners. Good breakfast. Nice place for the family stay.

Blast from the past with modern prices

We were in the area to attend the funeral of a relative. We had to find a place to stay with relatively short notice, and found Hotel Fausel to be one of the few hotels to have a vacancy. First impression was that the rooms are straight from the 70s. With 99 euros per night (with breakfast) I found the price very high, considering how little the owner has invested to bring the rooms to modern standard.
We were not able to attend the breakfast the first morning due to our schedule. The second morning we went to the breakfast room at 8.30 AM and found it empty (breakfast is served on weekends between 8 and 10 AM). A member of the personnel greeted us by saying "I thought you already left without having breakfast". It seemed to come as a surprise to her that the hotel had guests. The hotel deducted 4 euros per person from the room price due to missed breakfast, which is not much if the breakfast is any good.
The impression I got was that the hotel does not have guests very often. I also saw only one other guest in addition to us. In the area it seems to be common to charge high prices with little value for money, but I would rather go with a professional hotel chain next time.
