Emotional

More than just a word " anchorage "
Small but FINE hotel, quiet but in the middle of it, great offer, great rooms and great breakfast. The owner and staff are courteous, helpful and always available for a joke. Stop typical East Frisia.....
One of the best houses I know. Thank you for the great time, very happy again....

Very nice modern clean and dog friendly hotel centrally located near the port.

Very nice hotel near the port in Greetsiel. Smooth key handover with key safe if you can't get there in time.
The room corresponds fully to the picture on the net. Everything is clean and tidy. Dogs are welcome and there is an extra breakfast room available for guests with dogs. Breakfast is sufficient and varied. Everything is available until the end.
During the day you can stock up on coffee, tea or cocoa if you want for a small obolus. Other drinks are available for self-service with notes on what has been removed.
We had a junior suite , which is large enough to stay in the room even in bad weather.
The bathroom is also large enough and please space for cosmetics etc.
We can recommend the place!!!

Good for a stay of 2-4 days

· Breakfast was good, in principle there was nothing missing. However, these baking rolls are not my case. Fresh bread rolls from the bakery would once again significantly enhance the breakfast. Coffee machine in the TV room on the ground floor, usable all day and free of charge. Free parking, ample parking spaces even for slightly larger vehicles. The location is very good. For older people who are not so good on foot I would like to mention that the way to the port is not really far, however quite high stairs over the dike must be tackled. That's bad with rollators, then a little further detour.

Definitely: recommended!!!

We were our first guest at the Hotel Goldener Anker and certainly not the last time. The hotel convinces by friendly staff, cleanliness, nice ambience and great service and of course: by this insanely great and central location, but still quiet.
A large coffee machine is available for all guests in a separate room free of charge. Refrigerated drinks are available in the refrigerator for a fee. Everything is taken care of. The breakfast room invites you to linger for longer at breakfast due to its maritime and nice ambience. Even on spontaneous information (birthday) was responded friendly and nice. Upon returning to the room, 1 bottle of sparkling wine, glasses, chocolate and congratulations were ready.
We have already planned a next stay and are looking forward to it.

Sleepless in Greetsiel

We stayed (9 nights) at the Hotel Goldener Anker and would like to share some comments. Unfortunately, there was no wardrobe in our "deluxe" room, which made storing our clothes a little awkward. There was also no blind, which made the room very hot during the day due to the sun. Another problem was the lack of a fly screen, which made it difficult to keep out mosquitoes, which ended up populating the room in their hundreds when we aired it out. The nights were horrible and we were completely bitten in the morning. Finally, the drain in the sink was blocked, which made using the sink an unpleasant experience. We complained about this three times, but nothing was done. I hope that these points will be addressed in the future to improve the guests' stay."
The breakfast buffet was standard, the rolls were inexpensive frozen goods.
The staff were always polite.
The location of the hotel, near the harbor, was nice.
Despite everything, the hotel can be recommended for day guests (1-2 days), but unfortunately not for a longer stay.
