A great restaurant with great cuisine and excellent service staff.
I was allowed my 60th birthday yesterday. Celebrate your birthday at the Römerhof. My experience :
The organization was excellent.
The kitchen fantastic!
The service was very friendly and accommodating.
My guests and I were completely satisfied. It was a great day!

The Worst Dining Experience
Terrible waiter, bad/so-so service, decent food.
I always say, that if the food is okay, and the service is great, I'll go back and if the service is bad, but the food is great, I'll probably not go back.
This was my second experience at this restaurant where I felt that I was not wanted there. This time, we walked in the door, and as last time, we had a reservation. The waiter instructed us to sit where we wanted. We sat, got comfortable, and as the waiter approached, I started to tell him how we were there to use a gift certificate that friends from the USA had given us as a parting gift. This "server" cut me off in mid sentence and complained that he didn't like the table we chose. His demeanor immediately set the stage for an unenjoyable evening.
Then, when he brought the meals, and they were good, he made no notice of our empty wine glasses. When he did come back, he did ask us if we wanted more to drink, and we had by then decided we were going to cut our losses and leave as soon as possible.
Bottom line - the waiter spoiled the whole evening, and we WON'T be going back.

Everything ok
Clean rooms.
Helpful service staff.
Everyday fresh bottle of water.
Good meals in local restaurant.
Morning good breakfast.
Free parking.
Hotel is located next to train lines so sometime can disturb a noise of passing train, but this is not so loud.

The restaurant is OK but the hotel isn't
Definitely one of the poorer hotels I visited over the last years. A hotel needs to fulfill three basic conditions : a good bed, curtains that make the room dark and a fluent check-in and check-out process. None of them are fulfilled here.
The bed : I never slept in such a narrow single person bed. The risk is real (it happened to me) that you stick your head against the wall when you turn in your sleep.
The curtains : you can simply see the street- or parkinglights on the outside straight through them
The admin : what is the point of writing your full address upon arrival when another one appears on the screen upon check-out when the invoice is to be made, and you have to write the whole thing again ?
The room is very basic, with a bathroom door that doesn't close... Please do not expect a very extensive breakfast.
If you take dinner in the restaurant, you will not be disappointed however. That is quite OK.

Very, very bad hotel and very good restaurant
Please, go to this Restaurant and eat very good suebian foods, but pretend that the hotel doesn't exist at all! Dirty, uncomfortable, no service at all! They don't clean the rooms every day! The furniture is out-dated, miserable and shabby. Any different place is better, indeed! Wi-Fi does exist, they say, but doesn't work.

Auch wenn Diese nun schon zwei Jahre zurückliegt möchte ich anmerken, dass sich durch Renovierungsarbeiten und Struktur einiges in unserem Haus geändert hat.
