Very nice vacation.

Very nice hotel, rooms are large enough and clean. Refrigerator is in the room, electric kettle for coffee or tea is provided.
At the entrance, there is a popcorn machine that you can fill up for free, as well as a water dispenser where you can refill your bottles.
There was a glass of sparkling wine as a welcome (water, juice also available), parking spaces available free of charge.
Breakfast and dinner are plentiful.
Breakfast is available from 7:30 a.m. with everything from cereal to fried eggs, vegetables, and fruit. Coffee machine and juice bar, as well as tea, milk, etc., bread, rolls, everything is abundantly available.
A lot is also offered for dinner, and there are different options every evening.
Fries, pasta, meat, salads.
Anyone who has something to complain about here should rather stay at home.
Towels and bathrobes are available in the room free of charge for the sauna and pool.
The staff is very friendly and accommodating and is always available if you have questions.
For dinner, drinks must be paid for (card only).
The old town can be reached on foot in about 10 minutes.

So-so, not as expected

The hotel is renovated, the rooms have a refrigerator and air conditioning.
Unfortunately, the poor service in the evening and the food that could be improved lead to a lower rating.

Unfortunately, they received less than they had hoped.

Arrival was fine the nice gentleman at self-check-in was very striving and offered us a welcome sparkling wine.
At the first dinner then the disillusionment buffet, was mostly as if swept away and also the stakes for the food were partly broken off at the corners, which did not have a nice picture.
The prices for drinks were “despite” Hotel Standard rather upscale.
The service staff were very nice and helpful.
At breakfast in the morning was unfortunately the same picture.
The rolls were baked themselves but unfortunately they had little of a delicious roll. The buns were more of the type short walking time but more yeast. The buns weren't the hit in terms of taste.
The parking was clean and well cleared of
Snow.
The doors of the hotel rooms were very clairvoyant with which you noticed everything that happened in the hallway.
The room itself was very clean and the bathroom has and liked unfortunately the shower is a bit poorly designed (once you shower you flood the bathroom with water no matter how hard you try to keep it dry)
In itself I would recommend the hotel but there is significant room for improvement for the price.
The spa area was not used.

For 2 - 3 nights ok - but not 4 stars!

Great location, nice forest view from the room and good breakfast. Those were the positive aspects.
The evening buffet we found in selection and availability not 4-star equitable. No soup, no dessert, follow-up only slow or on demand. Lots of little shortcomings that add up.
In the whole hotel you can only pay by card and everything should be ordered online: the drinks at meals, the drinks in the lobby, even the housekeeping to clean the rooms.
We didn't try the indoor pool because everyone said it wasn't heated.

Good starting point for hiking

We stayed one night here and had booked at very short notice. The location is a bit off the beaten track and therefore a bit cheaper. In addition, half board and parking are included. We had a large family room, which is not quite as modern as it is advertised. On the other hand, the bathroom was very modern and also large. Breakfast and dinner are fine but not outstanding. The kids found almost nothing. Unfortunately, the pool was closed due to construction work, which we did not know at the time of booking and is also not stated on the website. There is also a wellness area. In the room there is an additional bag with towels. From the hotel you can start hiking directly (e.g. to Bastei), which did not work out for us due to the weather.
