Very disappointing.

I ate here a few years ago with some of my customers very neatly. This time the food was bad underground though! My wife and I had a chanterelle cream soup at the start it was an incredible pamper with only fibers of chanterelles and an indifferent taste. To the main course there were veal tripes swimming in an incredibly fat sauce, tastewise it was just totally bad. My side salad swam in a heavily acidified dressing. We ate very little of the tripe more but also did not work. A bright spot was the very good friendly Service. We're not going to visit this place anymore.

We had a great stay in the hotel, for 3 days while we were visiting the nearby Christmas markets in Freiburg, Colmar, Riquewihr and Strasbourg. Which all are in short driving distance and fast to reach.
There is a cozy atmosphere in the hotel and the restaurant, who also serves great food.
We really enjoyed our stay and will recommend this hotel, for anyone who is looking for a place to stay, while visiting the city’s nearby.

Nice environment

We lived upstairs. Elevator missing.
It was hot and AC was missing. There was a fan, which was very loud. Slightly trapped smell due to old carpeting. The room would get a nice vinyl carpet and AC. The bathroom was fresh. However, the floor got wet in a corner outside the shower which was due to the wrong slope. The staff were friendly and helpful. Not everyone could speak English.

Owner not polite

I was accommodated at this place after walking across Germany (camping), as I wanted to take a break and the value/quality seamed okay. I booked it for two days. Upon checking in, the owner kept on giving me dirty looks and did not communicate with me really. I felt intimidated and not comfortable/welcome. On the second day, I bumped into the owner and said ‘Good morning’, but did not receive any response.
The place was clean and fine to stay in. There no issue with it. But the attitude really put me off and I sure will not book this place again.
