Goods at the wedding in the Burghof

A very good service in the early service breakfast was also bombastic, especially the care of Berda was the hammer the only reason I would come again

nice hotel, miserable breakfast

We came across the hotel for the above average reviews and visited the hotel over Easter 2025. It is a great building with nice rooms. The hotel is clean and well maintained, including the outdoor facilities. Unfortunately, we were not so convinced of the service and the food. The dinner in the restaurant did not convince us, so we only dined here on the day of arrival and refrained from it afterwards. The quality of the food was only average with potential for criticism (my Viennese schnitzel for 23.90 euros was wafer-thin and baked way too crisp, my daughter's smashburger 17.50 euros was rather small with a diameter of about 8 cm). The most annoyed we were about the breakfast. The hotel also uses the restaurant's dining room as a breakfast room, leaving the dinner cover for days. The stocking for breakfast (knife, fork, napkin, without decoration) takes place only at isolated tables, so you either have to wait here or simply sit down at a table from the previous evening set with wine glasses and several cutlery. In my opinion, that is not possible!
The service is inattentive, does not observe when the sparse breakfast buffet is emptying, when there are no more rolls, the milk in the coffee machine is running out, etc. For everything the guest must address the service and that is not the job of the guest who pays 16 euros for a reasonable breakfast !!! The holding containers for fried eggs and bacon were cold, which is why the bacon and the fried eggs were cold. By the way, fruit was completely misrepresentation, only a small-cut fruit salad made of apples and whatever was available. I suspect for this reason there are no photos of the breakfast buffet in the hotel photo gallery.
The anger about the surroundings clouded the stay, even if the hotel was otherwise great (only very remote, but you can explore that beforehand). Therefore we will not book here again.

Hotel with excellent cuisine

Nice hotel, beautiful scenery.
The restaurant in the evening is recommended.
Quiet ambience, great views and excellent food (compliment to Chef Philipp and his team).
Very friendly and helpful staff.

A night at Burghof das hotel

Overall the hotel was magnificent - very elegant and clean, large stylish room, great views, friendly staff and Michelin star food in the restaurant. Although a bit out of the way, we were very pleasantly surprised after a long days drive from Salzburg. We will definitely come back next time we visit.

Great little hotel!

We were late checking in (10PM) and were greeted with a smile and warm welcome. Employee simply handed us our key, showed us where the elevator was located and said we could worry about the rest of check in process in the morning!
Upon getting to our room we were unable to login to WiFi and the same young man immediately came to our room with a WiFi login and password that worked. He was out of breath because I think he ran to our room!
