Long weekend in Cologne

This is not the first time we have stayed here; excellent location, easy check-in, and great cleanliness. Very hot days but the new air conditioner worked perfectly. We will definitely return.

Disaster conditions Limehome

Staircase is a construction site which could have been cleaned up daily after work. The door on the street could not be locked and addicts have been roaming the stairwell and done their emergency work. You had to go through the legacies to get to your room and you were afraid because homeless/addicts were wandering around the stairwell every day. The elevator did not work and the room was not well cleaned. The stubble from the box spring bed was missing and you could still sleep poorly!
Limehome in Cologne is not recommended and certainly not with children!!

Enjoyable stay but false advertising.

Apartment was nice and modern with the beds and pillows being comfy. It would be nice to have some spare pillows maybe as well as my partner like to sleep with 2. However, stayed here 4 nights and had good sleep on all 4 of them. Can be noisy outside on the weekend especially as there are lots of bars and clubs near but didn’t really affect us so no complaints there. The kitchen has everything you need ie) utensils and cooking equipment. But as the apartment is in a good location with like i said bars and restaurants near we ate out most nights.
One problem we did have though is the apartment was advertised on booking.com as it had parking included in the price. This however was not the case, once the apartment was paid for we were then informed that parking would be unavailable for our stay leaving us to then pay €120 to park elsewhere. If parking was not available this should have been advertised on the website before booking as we spent a-bit more money to stay here purely because it included the parking. I would say if you are driving here ask the hotel before booking or you will be €120 less when you get here!

That’s was horrible.
I felt bad to stay there , because since we were there they don’t prepare any towels and i send them actually a message that i need a towel but since they just said that they don’t have any personal at Hotel, and for the towels i can take first in the next day at 11:00 am- 15:00 pm.
And we would like to take a shower but the drain is clogged and every single water came to the kitchen etc.
is really bad. The Hotel is not for recommending.
I’m happy only to see the Bad cause is comfortable.

Had a plumbing issue that took a while to resolve. It was difficult to communicate with staff on site ( not one person we tried to communicate with spoke English-they all spoke Turkish. Would never again stay where there was no lobby or reception ( thought this would be like “living in an apartment”) because my luggage was lost by the airline and because there was no desk, had to stay all day to wait for the delivery. When issues arrived, had to communicate through WhatsApp. Layout was poor-the bathroom was right next to the bed and because the door was frosted glass, could watch every time my partner went to use the commode-there was absolutely no privacy. Did not have the room cleaned or the linens changed in our entire two week stay. We got new towels only because we used the ones we had on the floor when the shower didn’t drain and flooded the floor. Whenever we had an issue, the standard response was to “send us a picture”. It might sound like we didn’t enjoy our stay, but we got used to things and really did enjoy it.
In a positive note, loved the location-was very walkable to major sites. Loved having the kitchen. Liked having an eating area, but it was right under the TV, so you had to watch your head and it was hard to watch tv while eating. Also, had a remote control that didn’t even go with that tv so we had to use the knobs on the back of the tv. The view from the room was excellent, and there was the surprise of a Christmas market right outside the door!
