A Jewel In Rural Setting

We needed a stop over to break up a long drive. We got an excellent family run hotel that is welcoming, friendly and value for money. We had a two bedroom apartment which is ideal for families. Breakfast was continental style but plentiful and delicious. Owners are very proud of their hotel and this shows by their attention to detail. Easily recommend.

Great service!

We felt more than right at home here, we felt welcomed and appreciated. There was a welcome card in the room when we arrived
Breakfast was vast. The room was large and the bed was comfortable.
The only problem would be that this place is quite a distance from Memmingen unless you have a car. It's also a little hard to find.

Clean, spartan, friendly.

This guesthouse is a no-frills, basic place to stay that is clean and moderately comfortable. The bathroom had a shower pan with curtain and the tiniest sink I've ever seen in a hotel bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean and as it is a no-smoking property, smelled fresh. It's just off the road which leads through Volksrathofen, a small village which is part of Memmingen. They seem to cater to workers during the week, as I saw lots of utility type trucks parked in the lot. Quiet place. The guest house "lobby" is filled with Christian literature. It appears that they also conduct retreats at this property. TV but no phones in the rooms. Staff was accomodating. One free computer in the lobby available to use (standing up) but no WiFi.

Einfach und gut

Liebevoll eingerichtete, saubere Zimmer. Bad klein, aber sehr ordentlich und sauber.
Frühstück gut, ausreichend und schmackhaft. Freundliche und hilfsbereite Vermieter. Nette Atmosphäre, gut geeignet als Ausgangspunkt für diverse Unternehmungen.

Hier haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt

Ein Haus mit Stil, viel Holz, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet.
Wir waren eine Nacht im Gästehaus Schmid und hatten die Ferienwohnung Nr.1 ganz oben mit Sichtdachstuhl. Eine sehr geräumige und blitzsaubere Ferienwohnung, she Fotos.
Sehr gefreut hat uns der nette Willkommsgruß. Eine Flasche Wasser und 2 Gläser standen auch schon auf dem Tisch, was auch nicht Standard in anderen Häusern ist.
Die Betten waren gut. Das Frühstücksbuffet reichhaltig, der Kaffee lecker und frisches Gebäck gab es auch am Sonntag.
Wer nachts gerne bei offenem Fenster schläft, sollte mit Fahrzeuggeräuschen von der nahe gelegenen Straße rechnen. Daher "nur" ein sehr gut in der Gesamtbewertung.
Die Autobahn hört man aber nicht.
Wir werden hier sicher noch öfter übernachten!
