Top hotel

We were there last year in September for the 2nd time and d were very enthusiastic. The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired. We had also politely asked if we could have a room , which is not facing the street as we sleep with the window open. This was taken into account immediately. We had a very nice chat with the owner. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We will be back this year in May.

A great place to stay

A great place to stay !
Clean large rooms, great beds and spacious, clean bathroom.
Breakfast is exceptionally good and special requests are gladly met by the friendly and attentive staff.
Also the cuisine in the restaurant is great .
Here I will be happy to come back.

The worst hotel experience of the year. Owner bullies guests!

The worst hotel experience of the year. The extremely unfriendly owner presents me (60, academic, so not a stupid boy who can perhaps be treated like this) in the governess style and tone of a prison warden, because her maid, how bad, found some dog hair on the bed in which I slept. Should I stay up all night and make sure my very well-groomed setter bitch doesn't jump into bed? Hotel bed linen is usually washed, so why the riot? No, I am insulted, insulted and measured because the lady is a dog hater, but apparently still does not want to do without paying guests with dogs. Since I think you shouldn't deal with guests like this (!), the (well-deserved) worst possible rating... and my urgent advice to all dog friends and anyone who expects respectful treatment to avoid this house like poison bait!

Ideal base for Oktoberfest/Munich

Great base for munich as train station is a maximum 5 minute walk and a 25 minute journey at 13 euros return trip. Nice large room and huge bathroom. Room featured a little kitchenette which was a bonus.
Breakfast was superb value at 7 euros and the staff were very cheerful and friendly. Couldn't find much to do in Mering eating and drinking wise but netto is just across the road and the kitchen came in handy perhaps this is why one is featured. The only downside is the corridors need some soft furnishings such as carpet as the corridors sound noisier than they are when guests are returning at night.
I would definitely recommend this hotel as a base for Munich and the Oktoberfest.

Christmas guests (Salau referral)

Stayed here from the 22-27th of December 2016 as we were visiting family in Mering for Christmas. It is a family establishment & possibly the only main hotel in Mering which is understandable being that it's a small town.
It is relatively new, very clean and lovely. The rooms are quite big and decor is simple and high quality, the bed was so comfortable, the best sleep I've had in ages it was so difficult to get out of bed and the pillows are out of this world. I'm going to find out where the pillows are from just so I can buy myself a pair.
WIFI was available and free only snag was signal seemed to be weak at night time. Also adding phones to the room would be a good addition so you don't have to go to the reception every time you needed something.
Would definitely stay here again.
