Great breakfast, amazing scenery/nature. Staff speaks little English, but with some German phrases here and there, it worked fine and they are super nice. Only downside was the lack of air conditioning, causing the room to be sweltering during the night.

Never experienced

Arrived! Now an iced coffee on the terrace on a beautiful summer afternoon. After a while, the service comes back: No iced coffee! All right, no problem, then a piece of cake. The selection clearly arranged. And makes the impression that the cake was baked for Louis II. Thank you, then, a cyclist. I enjoy the view of the entrance where abundant autumn leaves curl.
The sun is sloping, off to the room. First, ventilate, the stale air should escape. The roof hatch gives the impression that it was last cleaned the same day the cake was baked. Interessant: I don't see bird dirt from below every day either. The radiator in the bathroom, inclined reader, you'll know when it was cleaned.
Complaint at reception. For the first time I can't get anywhere with German in Bavaria. The staff does not speak our local language. However, he manages to convince the young man to visit the site. He makes me understand that the dirt on the window is only on the outside. And the heating in the bathroom? He's right on the word: housekeeping. The good news: winning a discount. But after breakfast in a dark hole, you may wish this hotel better days again!

This is a very nice hotel. The room we had was spacious with an excellent bath/shower room and separate wc.
Really comfort bed.
Right in the heart of the little town - which is a lovely place.
The restaurant and bar is very good and the prices extremely affordable.
The small pool was very refreshing.
The service from all of the staff is excellent!
Parking right outside the door !
Only little thing was I thought I’d booked a room with air on, which the room didn’t have. There were two big fans though and this did the job.
I would definitely stay again if in the area.

Cleanliness?

We really liked the helpful young people in the service and breakfast! We felt uncomfortable because not only in one place had not been consistently cleaned ... from the floor of the elevator, the stairs, the hallways to the floor of the bathroom. Breakfast buffet not convincing, not loving. The assessment could be more lenient if it were a village inn with rooms at the appropriate price level. For a hotel that advertises with 4 stars (who has waved this through) is quite different to expect!

We would not book this hotel again

We stayed for a short break (4 nights) with friends at this hotel to hike in Franconian Switzerland. Unfortunately, the hotel is very old and only in the dining areas still pleasant. The rooms, the stairwell and the wellness area are very much in need of renovation. The water in the indoor pool is very cold. Infrared sauna and steam sauna did not work (defective electrician was not available), the hot tub was dirty.
Only the breakfast buffet and dinner were good.
